Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater will host its first ever Camp Arena Stage Open House on Saturday, January 13, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Mead Center (1101 Sixth St., SW). Featuring sample workshops and classes taught by Camp staff, and an opportunity to have all of your Camp questions answered, this day of programming will give prospective campers and parents an opportunity to experience a taste of Camp Arena Stage. This event is FREE and children ages 8-15 are welcome to participate in sample workshops and classes. No reservations are required.

Camp Arena Stage is a multi-arts summer day camp for 8-15 year olds, and this January at the Camp Arena Stage Open House, children can experience a taste of summer by participating in scheduled activities, workshops and classes focusing on Improvisation, Shakespeare, Hip Hop Dance, Print Making, Contemporary Dance and Musical Theater. Younger siblings can participate in face painting and craft projects throughout the day.

An immersive day camp, Camp Arena Stage is hosted at Georgetown Visitation Preparatory School (1524 35th St., NW). Campers create their own schedule when they register for camp, and pick and choose five daily activities to create a well-rounded summer roster. They have full control over their schedule with over 75 diverse activities to pick from. Every day at 12:30 p.m., campers can share what they've been working on at Camp, a talent from home or an act they've made with a friend.

Now in its fourteenth summer, Camp Arena Stage's 4-Week Intensive will run June 25-July 20, 2018, and the 2-Week Session will run July 23-August 3, 2018, Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with Early Drop-Off and Extended Day available for an additional fee. Proceeds help support educational programs that are offered at low or no charge to area schools by the Community Engagement division of Arena Stage.
