However, she barely notices this, as she is too busy mooning over Michael Feldman, the hottest guy around. Michael and his friends are athletic and good-looking - the kind of guys that Corey and his two best friends dream of being. However, while they may not be the coolest guys in school, they are still one up on Feargal McFerrin III, whose best friend is his computer, and who believes the crazy notion that one day CD's will replace cassette tapes.br br The year commences with Class President Elections: Michael steals Corey's election speech, and when he uses his ideas and promises the girls a kiss for a vote, he becomes President, with Tiffany as his Vice-President. Revisit the totally awesome 80's with the Class of 1984 at William Ocean High School in this nostalgic romp through the greatest hits of the decade. Most of the cast members in this high-energy show are actually in the classes of 2018 through 2023, but they've fallen as hard for the snappy songs of the 80's as the big-haired teens of the day did. One of those teens, a bonafide 1984 graduate, will take the stage for the first time in 35 years, as the show's narrator. Back to the 80's runs from July 12 to 14 and is co-directed by David Roth (SHS '84...hint, hint) and Kerry Long (SHS '97).

It could be Grover's Corner, New Hampshire, or it could be Westport, Connecticut. Whether you've never seen Thornton Wilder's Pulitzer Prize-winning classic or you've seen it many times, Staples Players will take you on a new stroll through Any Town, USA, and right into the heart of what it means to be human. David Roth (SHS '84) and Kerry Long (SHS '97) co-direct Our Town, which will run in the Black Box Theatre at Staples High School from May 23 to May 26.
