Industrial muscle clashes with Romantic ideals in Pretty BALLET by James Kudelka. Rapid-fire virtuosity and electronic punk electrify William Forsythe’s In the Middle, Somewhat Elevated. And the Joffrey’s tradition of commissioning dramatic new works continues in Age of Innocence, created by a brilliant new voice in American dance, Edwaard Lang, inspired by the novels of Jane Austen.
