Aladdin and the Magic Lamp tells the timeless tale of a boy, a genie, and the power of pursuing your dreams. Based on Middle Eastern folktale The Arabian Nights, a young man named Aladdin seeks advice on how to meet the princess from wise genies, a powerful sultan, and his own mother.

Orlando Shakespeare Theater in Partnership with UCF (Orlando Shakes) kicks off its 2017-2018 Children's Series with the celebrated Middle Eastern folktale Aladdin and the Magic Lamp from June 15 - July 23, 2017 in the Goldman Theater. BroadwayWorld has a sneak peek at the stars in costume below!

In celebration of outstanding achievement in high school musical theater performances, Broadway In Chicago has announced the award recipients of the Sixth Annual Illinois High School Musical Theater Awards: Justin Smusz of Bolingbrook, IL (Benet Academy) as BEST ACTOR for his portrayal of Chad in ALL SHOOK UP and Carly Meyer of Northbrook, IL (Glenbrook North High School) as BEST ACTRESS for her portrayal of Hodel in FIDDLER ON THE ROOF. Ahead of its first anniversary at the Prince Edward Theatre, Disney's Aladdin has released behind-the-scenes photography of the new company in rehearsals. Having opened to critical acclaim in London's West End in June 2016, the hit musical based on the classic Academy Award®-winning animated film will celebrate its first birthday in the West End on 15 June 2017.

The North American tour of Disney's Aladdin celebrated its opening night in Chicago at Morgan MFG on Wednesday, April 19. The limited premiere engagement runs through September 10, 2017 at Broadway In Chicago's Cadillac Palace Theatre (151 W. Randolph). Scroll down for photos from the festivities!

Disney Theatrical Productions and Broadway In Chicago are thrilled to announce Aladdin opened last night as part of the North American tour launch in Chicago at the Cadillac Palace Theatre (151 W. Randolph Street) for a limited premiere engagement through September 10, 2017. 

It was an exciting evening at the State Theatre, where a capacity crowd heard Gina Vernaci, architect of the Key Bank Broadway series, announce the 2017-2018 season.

A spectacular new production of Disney's The Little Mermaid kicks off at The Broward Center for the Performing Arts on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 for a limited two week run. Featuring the critically acclaimed work of Director Glenn Casale, this beloved tale of a young mermaid's coming-of-age adventure is told like never before. Previously announced casting includes Diana Huey as Ariel and Matthew Kacergis as Prince Eric, with Broadway's Jennifer Allen as Ursula and Steven Blanchard as King Triton. Melvin Abston, Connor Russell and Jamie Torcellini join the cast as Sebastian, Flounder and Scuttle. 

On Tuesday 18 October, Wolverhampton Grand Theatre launched its biggest pantomime to date, ALADDIN, which opens in seven weeks' time on Saturday 10 December.

Production images for ALADDIN have been released today ahead of its official opening night at the Prince Edward Theatre on Wednesday 15 June. Disney's new West End musical began preview performances on Friday 27 May and tickets for the spectacular production are now on sale for performances up to and including 11 February 2017.
