New York City Center, dedicated by Mayor LaGuardia in 1943 as Manhattan's first performing arts center, is currently in its final phase of its historic renovation and restoration. Designed by Ennead Architects LLP, (formerly known as Polshek Partnership Architects), the renovation will preserve and restore the landmark 1923 building's historic features while modernizing and upgrading the facility to create a world-class cultural center. A gala re-opening is scheduled for Tuesday, October 25, 2011.

Last night, on June 14, The Irish Repertory Theatre (Charlotte Moore, Artistic Director; Ciaran O'Reilly, Producing Director) presented a rare concert performance of Alan J. Lerner and Frederick Loewe's 'Brigadoon' on Broadway for its 2010 Annual Benefit Gala.
Intelligence-Slave, by Kenneth Lin, is the third of the Alley Theatre's world premieres this season and will run May 23 - June 20, 2010 on the Neuhaus Stage. Kenneth Lin's new play, Intelligence-Slave, tells the story of Curt Herzstark, a concentration camp prisoner who is being kept alive by the Nazis because he has invented the world's first hand-held four function calculator.
Restoration, written by Claudia Shear and directed by Christopher Ashley opened at the New York Theatre Workshop this week on May 19, 2010, at 7:00pm. The production runs through Sunday, June 13. After much hype and controversy, LOVE NEVER DIES opened last night, 9 March, in London at the Adelphi Theatre. Previews began on 22 February. The production stars Sierra Boggess and Ramin Karimloo and is directed by Jack O'Brien. The show will subsequently open in New York on November 11, 2010 and then in Australia in 2011. The word in London is that the premiere delivered the splashiest opening night party in West End history, with the party venue being turned into Coney Island.

As previously reported, Priscilla Queen Of The Desert The Musical will celebrate a year in the West End on 23 March 2010 having completed over 425 performances at the Palace Theatre since its opening last year. From 8 March Jason Donovan (Tick) and Oliver Thornton (Adam) will be joined by Don Gallagher as Bernadette, as booking for the show extends until 26 February 2011. Over the summer (6 June - 5 September 2010) there will be Sunday performances of Priscilla Queen Of The Desert The Musical at 3pm. The show is reportedly Broadway-bound thereafter in 2011.
