Tony Award-winning playwright Athol Fugard's semi-autobiographical and blistering masterwork explores the nature of friendship and the ways people are capable of hurting even those they love.

Out of the Box Theatrics' and Producing Artistic Director Elizabeth Flemming presents Athol Fugard's masterpiece "Master Harold"…and the Boys. Set in a tea shop in 1950 Apartheid South Africa, performances of this immersive, site specific production take place at Alice's Tea Cup - Chapter III, 220 E. 81st St. Directed by Ethan Paulini and featuring Cary Hite, Michael Oloyede and  Doug Plaut (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt). Jana Llynn is Production Stage Manager. 

Signature Theatre presents "Master Harold" ... and the boys, written and directed by Tony Award winner Athol Fugard. "Master Harold" ... and the boys runs now through November 27, 2016 with a Monday, November 7 opening night on The Irene Diamond Stage at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues). Aurora Theatre Company closes its 24th season with Athol Fugard's (Blood Knot, My Children! My Africa!) modern classic 'MASTER HAROLD'... and the boys. Former San Jose Repertory Theatre Artistic Director Timothy Near makes her Aurora directing debut with 'MASTER HAROLD'... and the boys, featuring L. Peter Callender (Breakfast With Mugabe,The Soldier's Tale and Permanent Collection), Adrian Roberts (Breakfast With Mugabe), and Andrew Humann (Shotgun Players, San Francisco Playhouse, Berkeley Playhouse).
