BWW Review: HARLOWE at FAU Theatre Lab
by David McKibbin - Apr 2, 2019

Theatre Lab at Florida Atlantic University recently opened yet another World Premiere in its on-campus theatre at Parliament Hall. Jennifer Lane's Harlowe is a poetic piece of theatre that tugs at the heartstrings with its themes relating to loss and letting go.

BWW Review: HARLOWE at FAU Theatre Lab
by David McKibbin - Apr 1, 2019

Harlowe may be a play about listening to the sounds of silence, but it speaks loudly about the grieving process and how it affects people in different ways. By watching this play, one can learn how to truly listen in the thick, muted quiet of water.

Epic Beard Men Release THIS WAS SUPPOSED TO BE FUN Today & Launch U.S. Tour Next Week
by Tori Hartshorn - Mar 29, 2019

This Was Supposed to Be Fun, the debut LP (and second official offering) from EPIC BEARD MEN, is an indie-rap tour de force by two of the underground's finest; Sage Francis and B. Dolan. This album knocks. It parties with disreputable outlaws in truck stops. It blends the classic sounds of breakbeats and timeless drum machines with soul grooves and sub bass. Guitars, violins, and a goddamn brass band have sat in before the party's over. On the vocal side of things, more than a few lyrical heavyweights drop in to take their turn on the mics.

BWW Review: ANG HULING EL BIMBO Version 2.0
by Jude Buot - Mar 18, 2019

A prominent theater critic in New York once said in an interview that no producer has gone bankrupt betting on sentimentality. This statement is proven true here in Manila very recently with 'Ang Huling El Bimbo' being restaged, barely six months after it closed its sold-out initial run. The show's main selling point: a throwback to some of the radio hits of the Eraserheads, one of the most celebrated Filpino alternative rock bands in the '90s.
