One man relives the the tale, a life of a dismantled family. 'This boy poses a very dangerous treat to society at large. And we as this community must make a practical example with him, its either we burn this thing or we stone him to death!'

The Drilling Company, Hamilton Clancy Artistic Director, will present 'Hamlet,' directed by Karla Hendrick and starring Jane Bradley, for its 2018 Shakespeare in the Parking Lot production. Free performances, originally scheduled for July 12 to 28, will now be presented July 19 to 28 in the Parking Lot of The Clemente, 114 Norfolk Street (E. side of Norfolk St. between Delancey and Rivington). The first week's performances had to be foregone due to an unfortunate miscommunication. Fortunately, the executive leadership of The Clemente stepped in and resolved the impasse with The Drilling Company and Shakespeare in the Parking Lot was able to live on.

Folks Operetta Announces Cast Of THE CSARDAS PRINCESS

Folks Operetta's 2018 season kicks off with Emmerich Kalman's operetta The Csardas Princess, July 7 - 22, playing at Stage 773, 1225 W. Belmont Ave. The Csardas Princess features the book written by Leo Stein and Bela Jenbach with music by Emmerich Kalman and an English translation by Hersh Glagov and Gerald Frantzen. The Folks Operetta version is directed by Gerald Frantzen and conducted by Mark Taylor. Opening night is Saturday, July 7 at 7:30 p.m. The regular performance schedule is Thursdays - Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. Tickets are $40 for adults, $35 for seniors (65 years and older) and $25 for students (with student ID).
