Word for Word’s 30th Season opens with HOME by George Saunders, April 8 - 29 at Z Below. Word for Word has a long history of adapting stories by George Saunders. HOME is about a war veteran returning to a home that is increasingly cruel and absurd, and his quest for understanding and compassion.
Crowded Fire Theater (CFT), known as a vital home for new play development and production on the West Coast, announce Miaccuicatl Alexander, Alexa Burrell, Brooke L Jennings, Kevin Lo, and Sara Witsch as the sixth cohort of IGNITE FUND awardees. San Jose Stage Company has announced the full cast and creative team for The Stage’s first production in its 39th Season, Lauren Yee’s THE GREAT LEAP. Directed by Jeffrey Lo, THE GREAT LEAP will run from September 29 – October 17, 2021 at San Jose Stage Company.

The cast of The Great Leap will feature James Aaron Oh as “Manford,” Monica Ho as “Connie,” Alex Hsu* as “Wen Chang,” and Tim Kniffin as “Saul.”

Theatre Bay Area, one of the largest regional performing arts service organizations in North America, has announced the finalists of the 2019 TBA Awards. The sixth-annual TBA Awards Celebration will take place on Monday, Nov. 4 at the Herbst Theatre (401 Van Ness Avenue, San Francisco).
