Fresh from his Broadway run as PJ in the Tony Award winning gender-bent revival of COMPANY (co-starring Patti LuPone), San Francisco native Bobby Conte will make his triumphant return to the Bay Area with his acclaimed solo show, Along the Way, at the historic Orinda Theatre.
Bobby made his Broadway debut originating the role of Calogero in A BRONX TALE, directed by Robert De Niro and Jerry Zaks. Other New York stage credits include MY FAIR LADY directed by Michael Arden and STARTING HERE, STARTING NOW directed by its lyricist, Richard Maltby, Jr. A graduate of the University of Michigan starred as Danny Zuko in GREASE at Paper Mill Playhouse and Enjolras in LES MISERABLES at the Muny while pursuing his BFA. He subsequently trained in London at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. Bobby's debut studio album, "Along the Way", is available now.
“Bobby has an edge, but inside he is a gentle soul. That is a hard quality to find in an actor. He was the perfect Calogero.” - Chazz Palminteri
"Conte is an energy vortex, performing all-out, daring the audience not to be swept away by his charisma and sheer abandon." - The Front Row Center
