Award-winning playwright and actor Brian Copeland (Not a Genuine Black Man, The Waiting Period, The Scion, The Jewelry Box) will continue his extremely successful run of GRANDMA & ME at The Marsh San Francisco, extending performances for a fourth time due to popular demand. Since its opening in October 2022, this work has performed to sold out crowds and captivated Bay Area theatregoers. Filled with Copeland’s trademark style of wit, laughter, and tears, GRANDMA & ME: An Ode to Single Parents examines the issues of single parenting and asks what it truly means to be a father. Copeland’s newest work is dedicated to the memory of his grandmother, Lena Mae Arbee.

Due to popular demand, The Marsh San Francisco has announced the return of GRANDMA & ME: An Ode to Single Parents, which has performed to sold out crowds by award-winning playwright and actor Brian Copeland (Not a Genuine Black Man, The Waiting Period, The Scion, The Jewelry Box) since its successful opening run in October 2022.
Due to popular demand, The Marsh San Francisco has announced the second extension of GRANDMA & ME: An Ode to Single Parents. Dedicated to the memory of Copeland’s grandmother, Lena Mae Arbee, GRANDMA & ME: An Ode to Single Parents has been extended through December 10, 2022.
This December, award-winning playwright and actor Brian Copeland (Not a Genuine Black Man, The Waiting Period, The Scion, GRANDMA & ME) will return to The Marsh San Francisco for a limited run of his critically acclaimed Christmas story, The Jewelry Box.
