Subtitled The Songbook of Your Childhood, A Spoonful of Sherman is a musical revue which celebrates three generations of creator Robert J. Shermans songwriting familys century-long musical journey including repertoire from the Brothers: Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious, Chim- chim cher-ee, Its a Small World (After All), Winnie the Pooh, Feed the Birds, The Wonderful Thing About Tiggers, I Wanna Be Like You and Hushabye Mountain, ending on a rousing rendition of Lets Go Fly a Kite!.In the early twentieth century, Al Sherman was one of the most sought-after songwriters on New Yorks Tin Pan Alley, with songs recorded by Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Frank Sinatra, Al Jolson, Bing Crosby, amongst others. Als sons, Robert B. and Richard M. Sherman, were the most successful songwriting partnership in the history of Hollywood composing more movie musical songs and acclaimed film scores than any other writing team. Their Oscar-winning songs from films such as Mary Poppins, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, The Jungle Book, The Aristocats, Winnie The Pooh, and The Slipper and The Rose and more have entertained the world for more than 60 years. From the creators of 3Below Theaters and The Retro Dome comes a revival of their musical comedy that celebrates America's love affair with TV game shows. “Thanks For Playing! The Game Show Show” (also known simply as, “The Game Show Show!”) opens Saturday July 22, 2023 and performs Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 7:30pm and Saturdays and Sundays at 2:30pm.
