What do small towns, band equipment and a charlatan have in common? Harold Hill. The Music Man by Meredith Wilson is a six time Tony Award winning musical comedy that has delighted and invited audiences to come explore the trouble in River City for themselves since 1957. Harold Hill, the Music Man himself, has arrived in River City with promises to save their youth from certain moral decay and debauchery by creating, and selling them everything they need for a town marching band. There are only two things standing in his way: Marian, the town's music teacher, and Charlie Cowell a fellow salesman, who's driving force is to defend the good name of salesmen everywhere.
