The 2023-2024 North American Tour of Mrs. Doubtfire launched at Shea's Performing Arts Center in Buffalo before continuing on to play 30+ cities including San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, Nashville and more. The Providence Performing Arts Center announced that single tickets for the upcoming engagement of MRS. DOUBTFIRE will go on sale this Thursday, July 20 at 10A. MRS. DOUBTFIRE visits PPAC October 17 – 22, 2023.
The Providence Performing Arts Center has announced the shows that comprise PPAC’s 2023/2024 season at a season announcement event held in the Theatre’s Grand Lobby.
On June 6, 2022, more than 180 elementary students from Providence and Pawtucket, RI will have the extraordinary opportunity to sing, dance, and act on the Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC) stage as the result of a grant awarded to PPAC by Disney.
Everyone's invited to the national tour of the 2019 Drama Desk Award winner for Outstanding Musical, THE PROM, playing the Providence Performing Arts Center from March 8 – 13, 2022!
Casting has been announced for the upcoming National Tour of THE PROM. Kaden Kearney (they/them) will star as Emma, Kalyn West as Alyssa Green, Courtney Balan as Dee Dee Allen, Patrick Wetzel as Barry Glickman, Emily Borromeo as Angie Dickinson, Bud Weber as Trent Oliver, Sinclair Mitchell as Mr. Hawkins Ashanti J'Aria as Mrs. Greene, and Shavey Brown as Sheldon Saperstein.
The Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC) is pleased to announce the five Providence public elementary schools that have been selected to participate in the 2019 - 2020 Disney Musicals in Schools program. The program is an initiative developed by Disney Theatrical Group to create sustainable theater programs in public elementary schools. The five schools include:
