WORLD PREMIERE!
Live at Imago Theatre, 17 SE 8th Ave., Portland, Oregon 97214
May 12 to 27, Thursdays – Saturdays at 7:30 p.m., with one Sunday matinee on May 14 at 2:00 p.m.
How to describe Where's Bruno?, the latest creation by Imago Theatre's Carol Triffle? Is it an absurdist satire, a neovaudevillian farce, a situational comedy, a postmodern musical, or maybe an operetta buffa? How about all of the above! Consider the plot alone: The Carmalites' lead guitarist finds his world permanently rocked by a band mate's fatal (and freaky) car accident. Must the show go on? Well, a pilgrimage to the woods leads the guitarist to Elvis -- who's promoting an encore. It's now or never for this group's reunion.
Raves about Triffle's past shows:
“Carol Triffle is Portland’s most prominent stage absurdist"
“… comedic sensibility of clowning
applied to tragedy.”
Theatre opens one hour before showtime.
$20 per ticket.
