Set in Dublin, the story revolves around Guy, a talented but discouraged street musician, and a young Czech woman, simply known as Girl. Guy's music career has stalled, and he's on the verge of giving up.

Girl, a talented pianist who has recently arrived in the city, hears him play and is mesmerized. Touched by his music, she convinces him to record an album together. As they collaborate, a spark ignites between them. Their shared passion for music and their late-night songwriting sessions lead to a powerful connection.

"Once" is not your typical love story. The pasts of both characters are shrouded in a bittersweet mystery, leaving room for interpretation. The beauty of the musical lies in the emotional honesty and the power of music to transcend barriers and bring people together. What is the history of OREGON CABARET THEATRE ?

Starting out with 30 performances in 1986, OCT has steadily grown and now annually presents more than 270 performances of 5 shows in our year-round season (early February through December 31). We have also created 15 original shows and continue to develop new works. OCT is now a well-established Ashland attraction, popular with visitors and local patrons alike. Its uniquely inviting ambience and consistently high-quality productions have earned OCT a nationwide reputation for excellence that keeps its 140 seats full, six shows a week all year-round.
