Halloween Witnesses The Final Chapter Of ASYLUM By CaZo Dance Theatre

CaZo Dance Company and Artistic Director Bridgette Borzillo are pleased to announce Asylum: Serial Killers, the final chapter in the acclaimed full-length Asylum dance series.

It's 1969 and the survivors of the massacre at CaZo Asylum - Norman, Hannibal, Bill and May - have invited others to take up residence to learn the art of murder. Everyone is settling in well until the arrival of Annalise, a teenage girl susceptible to possession. As the residents of the asylum attempt to recruit Annalise as their new ingenue, strange and supernatural things begin to happen to everyone she comes into contact with.

Up until now, the Asylum series has pulled directly from pop-culture to build its cast, which included characters from BLACK SWAN, Silence of the Lambs, Bates Motel and Nightmare on Elm Street. Asylum: Serial Killers will be the first time Borzillo will draw from reality to accentuate her cast.

"The idea of the last show [Asylum: Resurrection] was to have all of the murderers in the asylum succumb to their addiction and kill everyone else," says Borzillo. "This, combined with the fact that the show would take place in 1969, naturally led into doing something a little different and utilize famous real-life serial killers like Charles Manson."

Borzillo will also be adding a heavy supernatural aspect to the show to make it the creepiest one in the series. "Before I started even putting the story together, I knew I wanted to bring in Pennywise the clown. He's just such a fascinating character and Dominque Bailey will be fantastic in his interpretation."

Asylum: Serial Killers will be performed live in the 3rd Street Theater at the Phoenix Center for the Arts in Phoenix, Arizona on Wednesday, October 31, Friday, November 2 and Saturday, November 3, 2018. Showtimes start at 8 p.m., but doors open at 7:15 p.m. for a pre-show performed by apprentices of CaZo Dance Company. Tickets go on sale September 5, 2018. Prices are $23 for general audiences, $18 for students, and $45 for reserved VIP (limited quantities).

Don't miss the final moments of the CaZo Asylum's gritty, frightening history, all told through the brilliance and power of dance.
