The Music Man, a classic American musical brimming with small-town charm and a touch of con artistry, follows the fast-talking Harold Hill. He arrives in River City, Iowa, posing as a renowned boys' band organizer. Harold, a smooth salesman with a repertoire of outlandish stories, convinces the townspeople that their youth are headed down a dangerous path without proper musical instruction.
Seizing the opportunity, Harold sells instruments and uniforms, promising to whip the boys into shape with his innovative methods (which he has absolutely no intention of teaching). However, a wrinkle appears in his plan when he falls for Marian Paroo, a beautiful librarian with a sharp mind and a skeptical eye. Marian sees through Harold's facade but finds herself drawn to his charisma.
The Music Man is a delightful blend of humor, romance, and small-town life. The iconic score features unforgettable songs like "76 Trombones," "Till There Was You," and "Ya Got Trouble," which perfectly capture the bustling energy and spirit of the story. As Harold grapples with his conscience and his growing feelings for Marian, the townspeople prepare for a grand performance that may expose his elaborate scheme. The Phoenix Theatre Continues With Tennessee Williams' THE GLASS MENAGERIE
December 20, 2019The Phoenix Theatre's inaugural season of dreams continues with the company bringing new life to Tennessee Williams' The Glass Menagerie. This memory play runs January 17- February 2, 2020 in Chester County at SALT Performing Arts in Chester Springs, PA. Members of the media are invited to Opening Night, Saturday January 18 at 7 p.m. If Media are not able to attend, they are welcome to review another performance date. The theatre is dedicated to re-envisioning and reinvigorating the classics, making theatre accessible and affordable for all. The Phoenix Theatre is in residence at SALT Performing Arts, 1645 Art School Road, Chester Springs. Tickets for The Glass Menagerie are already on sale online at www.thephoenixtheatrepa.com. Tickets cost $25 for adults and $15 for students. There will be an accessible relaxed matinee performance on Saturday, January 25 at 2 p.m.

The Phoenix Theatre Debuts In Chester County With William Shakespeare's Magic-Infused THE TEMPEST
June 05, 2019The Phoenix Theatre rises in Chester County this summer with its inaugural production. In residence at SALT Performing Arts in Chester Springs, this brand-new company dedicated to re-envisioning classics, producing bold contemporary pieces, and forging new works, debuts with a production of William Shakespeare's The Tempest. This magical production is set to run July 5-21. Opening night is July 6 at 7 p.m. All shows will be performed at SALT Performing Arts, 1645 Art School Road, Chester Springs. Tickets for The Tempest are already on sale online at www.thephoenixtheatrepa.com. Tickets cost $25 for adults, $17 for students and seniors, and anyone under 18 will be admitted for free to The Tempest.
New Theatre Launches In Chester County
April 16, 2019Two transplants from New York have set up a brand-new theatre company in the heart of Chester County. The Phoenix Theatre will begin producing professional work in residence this summer at SALT Performing Arts in Chester Springs.
