Happily ever after? Well . . . not exactly.Grimm's princesses will be setting the record straight in the delightfully funny and sassy musical, Disenchanted, the second production of the De Novo Theatre Company along with the Herbert T. Costello Lyceum Hall Center for the Arts in Burlington City, NJ, on November 22 and 23. Like the Latin term, "de novo," the De Novo Theatre Company aims to bring new life to forgotten or little-known plays and musicals through concerts and productions with limited staging using local talent. With a spotlight on these hidden gems the De Novo Theatre Company welcomes audiences to open their minds and be educated and entertained by these obscure shows.Featuring long-time favorites Snow White, Cinderella, and Sleeping Beauty, as well as the much-loved Belle, Rapunzel, The Little Mermaid, Pocahontas, Hua Mulan, Princess Badroulbadour (Jasmine), and The Princess who Kissed the Frog, the 2012 off-Broadway smash, Disenchanted, shares the not-for-children "true stories" of these princesses' post-happily-ever-after lives.Directed by De Novo's Artistic Director, John D. DiFerdinando, and musically-directed by Adam Chen, this hilarious and insightful musical written by Dennis T. Giacino, features an amazingly-talented cast of actresses from the Delaware Valley Rachel DeMasi, Patricia Curley, Barbara Burke Sherman, Ilana Lo, Hillary Wilson, and Taylor J. Mitchell. The show runs for three performances only - Friday, November 22, at 7:30 pm, and Saturday, November 23, at 3 pm and 7:30 pm., at the Herbert T. Costello Lyceum Hall Center for the Arts, which is located at 432 High Street, Burlington City, NJ 08016.The shows will be BYOB, but refreshments will be available for purchase. Tickets are $18 in advance ($20 at the door) with discounted tickets available for seniors, students, and groups. For more information, visit https://www.johnddif.com/de-novo-theatre. Cast and Creative team for Disenchanted at DeNovo Theatre/Lyceum Hall Center for the Arts

Rachel DeMasi (Snow White) is so excited to be a part of this amazing show with such fantastic women! Rachel recently celebrated her 6th year at the PA Renaissance Faire as part of the all-women comedy troupe The Washing Well Wenches. This holiday season, she will be returning to the Walnut Street Theatre in their production of A Christmas Carol as Mrs. Fezziwig/Solicitor. Other credits: Pinkalicious the Musical (WST), The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (The Ritz Theatre), Beehive the '60s Musical (Broadway Theatre of Pitman), Peter Pan-u/s track (Arden Theatre), Skippyjon Jones (WST). So much love to Jim, my friends, and my family.   www.racheldemasi.com

Patricia Curley (Cinderella) is so excited to be playing one of her favorite Disney Princesses in this production of Disenchanted! She is a Music Theater graduate from Rider University (‘15) & has appeared in community theater productions in both PA and NJ. Previous shows include Oklahoma! (Laurey), Into the Woods (Little Red), Smokey Joe’s Café (DeLee), and The Sound of Music (Liesel). A HUGE thank you to her family and friends for their love & support, onstage & off!

Barbara Burke Sherman (Sleeping Beauty) has been performing across the tri-state area for more than 20 years.  Favorite roles include Diana (Next To Normal), Lucy (Jekyll & Hyde), Dot (Sunday in the Park with George), Mamma Rose (Gypsy) and Dolly Levi (Hello Dolly), just to name a few. In her personal life, Barbara is a Disney Crazed woman.  In her dreams, she’s always wanted to be a princess (well, who wouldn’t!).  She wants to thank John for giving her the chance of a lifetime and making her “dreams come true”.  Also, even though she isn’t a princess to the world, she is married to a prince.  Thank you Michael for all your love, patience and encouragement.  You make life “A whole new world”.

Ilana Lo (Hua Mulan/Pocahontas/Princess Badroulbadour) was born and raised in Hong Kong, and grew up taking ballet lessons. She found a love for performance through dance and came to the USA to study Musical Theatre at Temple University in Philadelphia. After graduating, she pursued stage combat and became a recognized actor combatant with the Society of American Fight Directors and the Academy of Fight Directors Canada. To this day, Ilana aspires to subvert stereotypes through stage, screen, and sardonic humor.

Hillary Wilson (Little Mermaid/Belle/Rapunzel) is excited to be playing some of her favorite princesses in this hilarious show! Regional: Lend Me a Tenor (Resident Theatre Co.), A Year in the Trenches, Within the Law (East Lynne Theater), A Christmas Carol, Fiddler on the Roof (Ocean City Theatre Co.), The Fantasticks (Broadway Theatre of Pitman). TV/Film: The History Channel, Recovery Centers of America, and Happy Yummy Chicken, starring Taryn Manning. She is a proud graduate of Marymount Manhattan College. Love to Dave and Ralphie. www.hillary-wilson.com

Taylor J. Mitchell (Princess Who Kissed the Frog) is so excited to be making her debut with De Novo Theatre. She is a new Philly actress and recent credits include Lysistrata: Cross Your Legs Sister (Lysistrata), Cabaret (Frenchie) at the Bucks County Performing Arts, Fly Guy (Fly Girl), Civil War Voices (Elizabeth Keckley u/s), Pinkalicious the Musical (Allison), and A Christmas Carol (Belle) all at the Walnut Street Theatre. She gives special thanks to the production team and cast of Disenchanted, family, friends, and her mother - her biggest cheerleader. Instagram: @taymitch__, TaylorjMitchell.com
