After six long years, the wait is finally over! The musical web series THE BATTERY'S DOWN, which wrapped up its final season in late 2009, has returned for a reunion special (which aired on Hulu earlier this week) and a Joe's Pub concert, with performances from original cast members (and some very special guests). BroadwayWorld was there for the special night and you can check out highlights from the concert below!

BroadwayWorld has just learned that the musical web series The Battery's Down, which wrapped up its final season in late 2009, will return for a reunion special later this fall. The episode will premiere on October 20, along with a concert that night with performances from original cast members (and some very special guests).Be sure to check back in the coming weeks for a full trailer!

The American premiere of Constellations, the acclaimed new play by Nick Payne, directed by Michael Longhurst, starring Oscar nominee Jake Gyllenhaal (Golden Globe nominee for Nightcrawler; Brokeback Mountain) and two-time Olivier Award winner Ruth Wilson (Golden Globe winner for Showtime's 'The Affair;' BBC's and PBS' Emmy nominated 'Luther'), opened on Broadway last night, January 13 at MTC's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre (261 West 47th Street). Rehearsals are currently underway for the American premiere of Constellations, the acclaimed new play by Nick Payne, directed by Michael Longhurst, starring Oscar nominee Jake Gyllenhaal(Nightcrawler, Brokeback Mountain) and two-time Olivier Award winner Ruth Wilson (BBC's and PBS' Emmy nominated 'Luther,' Showtime's 'The Affair'). This strictly limited 13-week engagement will begin previews Tuesday, December 16, 2014 for a Tuesday, January 13, 2015 opening night at MTC'sSamuel J. Friedman Theatre (261 West 47th Street). NEWSIES star Andrew Keenan-Bolger recently took the time to put together a music video for summer 2012, featuring some of his NEWSIES castmates and even some other Broadway veterans. Keenan-Bolger writes: 'I brought my camera along whenever I was hanging out with my friends this summer. I decided to compile the footage together in an unofficial video for my favorite song of the summer, '1904' by The Tallest Man On Earth.'

Last June, comedian Tracy Morgan took a lot of heat for the stand-up routine that he performed in Nashville, in which he went into a homophobic rant. Morgan will return to television this week when 30 ROCK makes its season six premiere, and agroup of Broadway veterans, including Donna Vivino, Andrew Keenan-Bolger, Jake Wilson, and more have an idea for how the issue can be resolved.
