THE BELLE OF AMHERST RETURNS TO THE STAGE ON FEBRUARY 26, 2019 to the American Theatre of Actors, and will star, world renowned actress, Jane Culley in the title role of Emily Dickinson. In her Amherst, Massachusetts home, the reclusive nineteenth-century poet Emily Dickinson recollects her past through her work, her diaries and letters, and a few encounters with significant people in her life. ZERO HOUR, Jim Brochu's acclaimed play about the life of theatre legend Zero Mostel, will return to its original home, the Theatre at Saint Clement's (423 West 46th Street, between Ninth & Tenth Avenues) for a limited engagement beginning June 2nd and continuing through July 9th only!  Opening Night is set for Wednesday June 14th (7pm).  The performance runs 90 minutes with no intermission.

Cone Man Running Productions is proud to present the regional premiere of Daniel Guyton's dark comedy, WHERE'S JULIE?

Under the continuing leadership of Charles Newell, Marilyn F. Vitale Artistic Director, and Stephen J. Albert, Executive Director,Court Theatre announces that it will present the Asolo Repertory Theatre, Pasadena Playhouse and Arena Stage production of The Originalistby John Strand, featuring Edward Gero as Antonin Scalia and directed by Arena Stage Artistic Director Molly Smith, to conclude its 63rd season. As previously announced, the production will run May 10 - June 10, 2018 at Court Theatre, 5535 S Ellis Avenue, Chicago.

Based on the poetry, diaries and letters of poet Emily Elizabeth Dickinson of Amherst, Massachusetts, William Luce's The Belle of Amherst opened to great acclaim on Broadway in 1976 winning a Tony for its star Julie Harris. Petite like Dickinson herself, Harris continued to play the role for 25 years, again reviving it on tour at the Laguna Playhouse in the year 2000. I am happy to say I saw both the 1976 and 2000 productions, which were indeed mesmerizing. Now at Sierra Madre Playhouse, tall and very unique Ferrell Marshall produces and stars as Emily in a brave and exciting performance through April 23. I can only say that in spite of her physical differences, she pulled me in immediately and in the end made me feel every bit as joyful as when I had seen the play before.
