It's been a busy year for triple-threat Gabrielle Ruiz. After being a part of the closing cast of Broadway's IF/THEN, she then starred opposite Justin Guarini in Bucks County Playhouse's production of COMPANY, before appearing in the new Off-Broadway musical PIECE OF MY HEART: THE BERT BERNS STORY. Having been a working actress in New York and on National Tours for nearly a decade, as exciting as those shows were, Ruiz new what to expect from the experiences. However, starting tonight, she is in for something completely new. At 8/7 CT, Ruiz makes her debut on The CW's musical comedy CRAZY EX-GIRLFRIEND as Valenica, the long-term girlfriend of Josh, whom the show's titular ex moves cross country to be near. If you saw last week's premiere, you know that this can only lead to neurotic, slightly unhinged fun.

On the next CRAZY EX-GIRLFRIEND titled "Josh's Girlfriend Is Really Cool," when Rebecca learns that Josh has a gorgeous yoga instructor girlfriend named Valencia, she is determined to learn everything about her.

Theatre fans have had a tenuous relationship with television musicals over the past few years. CRAZY EX-GIRLFRIEND, the joyfully kooky comedy that debuts on The CW tonight at 8:00pm ET, was created by Upright Citizen's Brigade member Rachel Bloom, who also stars as the titular crazy character.

Paper Mill Playhouse presents The Hunchback of Notre Dame (which first played to rave reviews in La Jolla). Inspired by the classic Victor Hugo novel, The Hunchback of Notre Dame has a book by Peter Parnell, music by Alan Menken and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz. The Hunchback of Notre Dame is directed by Scott Schwartz and choreographed by Chase Brock.

This Thursday, 2-5, Broadway Sessions welcomes cast members from the upcoming Papermill Playhouse production of Disney's The Hunchback of Notre Dame.

La Jolla Playhouse announces the cast for its upcoming U.S. premiere musical, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, featuring a score by the multiple Academy, Grammy and Tony Award-winning team of composer Alan Menken (Newsies, Little Shop of Horrors) and lyricist Stephen Schwartz (Wicked, Pippin), book by Peter Parnell (The West Wing, On a Clear Day You Can See Forever) and direction by Scott Schwartz (Playhouse's Jane Eyre, Broadway's Golda's Balcony). The Public's HERE LIES LOVE kicked off its 'Summer Friday' performances on Friday. On the Friday, July 11th kickoff, guests in attendance included Alan Rickman, Tommy Tune, Anika Larsen, After Midnight's Karine Plantadit, Andrew Andrew and Sirius XM's Julie James.
