Georgia Shakespeare announces the regional premiere of A Christmas Story, directed by Drew Fracher, written by Philip Grecian, based on the motion picture "A Christmas Story"?(© 1983 Turner Entertainment Co., Distributed by Warner Bros.), written by Jean Shepherd, Leigh Brown and Rob Clark and based on the book In God We Trust, All Others Pay Cash by Jean Shepherd. The cast is announced, following the final round of "The Search for Ralphie" on October 16.

Part One of ARENA RESTAGED was an ambitious staging of 10 productions ranging from classics such as Edward Albee's A Delicate Balance to the Broadway-bound rock musical Next to Normal. Part Two will continue the remarkable exploration of American work and provide the theater with necessary time to move into the new Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater in time for the Fall 2010 opening.

The comic genius of Harold Lloyd meets the musical genius of the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra as LACO presents the 19th Annual Silent Film Gala, with co-chairs Hanna Kennedy and Roger Mayer as well as seven-time Honorary Chairman Academy Award-winning actor Dustin Hoffman. The evening will feature Harold Lloyd's 1928 film entitled Speedy, with an extended cameo by Babe Ruth. Joel McNeely conducts the score by Carl Davis.
