The new musical CHAPLIN, depicting the life of film icon Charlie Chaplin, concludes its Broadway run today, January 6, at the Barrymore Theatre, after 24 previews and 136 regular performances. The new musical CHAPLIN will be produced in São Paulo, Brazil at the Teatro Procópio Ferreira in April 2014 by Chaim XYZ Produções. The current Broadway production will play its final performance at the Barrymore Theatre on Sunday, January 6, 2013.

The new musical CHAPLIN, with music and lyrics by Christopher Curtis and book by three-time Tony Award-winner Thomas Meehan (Annie, The Producers, Hairspray) and Christopher Curtis, directed and choreographed by Warren Carlyle (Finian's Rainbow; Hugh Jackman, Back on Broadway), celebrates its 100th performance on Broadway at the Barrymore Theatre tonight, Thursday, December 6 at 7:00PM.

Masterworks Broadway will release the Original Broadway Cast Recording of the new musical CHAPLIN. Produced by Grammy-winner David Lai, the album will be available via digital download on December 4, 2012 with the CD following on January 8, 2013. The Original Cast Recording of CHAPLIN will also be available for purchase in the Barrymore Theatre.

The producers of the new Broadway musical CHAPLIN have just announced that AWA Partners (www.AWA-Partners.com) is putting together a US national tour that will launch in the fall of 2014, with plans for an international world tour to follow.

CHAPLIN is a new musical depicting the life of film icon Charlie Chaplin, with music and lyrics by Christopher Curtis and book by three-time Tony Award-winner Thomas Meehan and Christopher Curtis, opened on Broadway on Monday, September 10, 2012. The Friday, November 9th performance of Broadway's Chaplin at the Barrymore Theatre, 243 West 47th Street, benefited the NYC Firefighters' charity, Lil' Bravest Inc., which raises money for children with diseases.
