The Public Theater (Artistic Director Oskar Eustis; Executive Director Andrew D. Hamingson) will begin previews Tuesday, October 19 for the New York premiere of IN THE WAKE.

EDGEWISE -- a new play by Eliza Clark, directed by Trip Cullman -- will be given its world-premiere this fall in a co-production by the Off-Broadway companies Page 73 and The Play Company, with previews set to begin November 9 and opening night set for November 17 at the Walkerspace (46 Walker St.) in Tribeca.

In March 2011, when repertory performances of The Two Noble Kinsmen and Edward III open, the Atlanta Shakespeare Company will have produced the entire Shakespearean canon over its 25-year history.

Philadelphia Theatre Company kicks off its 35th Anniversary Season with PTC@PLAY, a new play festival running October 5-21 at the Suzanne Roberts Theatre (Broad and Lombard Streets). The Festival, with staged readings of works by established playwrights as well as new voices, features Casa Cushman, by Leigh Fondakowski in conjunction with the Tectonic Theater Project, Strongman's Ghost by Jeffrey Hatcher, What We're Up Against by Theresa Rebeck, How To Write A New Book For The Bible by Bill Cain and Milk Like Sugar by Kirsten Greenidge. All readings are free with curtain time at 7:00 PM.

Two of Brooklyn's most prestigious repertory companies - Brave New World Repertory Theatre and Company XIV - have announced their first-ever collaboration on The Halloween Plays, three spooky and original one-act plays suitable for both adults and young adults.

Korean American playwright Lloyd Suh's Off-Broadway play 'American Hwangap' holds its Asian premiere in Manila through a co-production arrangement between the Cultural Center of the Philippines' (CCP) resident theatre company Tanghalang Pilipino, and New York-based Lark Play Development Center. Top billed by the Philippines' most respected actors on stage, television and film - Mario O' Hara, Celeste Legaspi, Gina Pareño and Bembol Roco - 'American Hwangap' is presented in its original English form, and in a Filipino translation written by Philippine literature professor and writer Joi Barrios-Leblanc. The play runs until Sunday, October 3, 2010 at the CCP Little Theatre.

Directed by Trip Cullman, Bachelorette will feature Aya Cash, Tracee Chimo, Tate Ellington, Carmen M. Herlihy, Celia Keenan-Bolger and Eddie Kaye Thomas.
