Soho Rep and the NAATCO National Partnership Project have announced a two-week extension of the world premiere production of Public Obscenities, a bilingual play performed in Bangla and English from writer-director Shayok Misha Chowdhury, co-commissioned and produced by the two organizations.

THE ORCHARD Reschedules First Performance Date Due to Covid

Due to a limited number of Covid cases within the company, The Orchard, conceived, adapted, and directed by Ukrainian born theater director Igor Golyak, will begin previews on June 7, instead of the previously scheduled May 31. Opening night remains unchanged, and is still scheduled for June 16 for a limited run through July 3.

Japan Society presents Shomyo: Buddhist Ritual Chant - Spiral Mandala Ceremony, a theatrical audio experience accompanied by innovative, hypnotizing, abstract visuals. Audience members will sit on cushions placed on the stage floor, then be transported into a state of meditative contemplation through the pre-recorded chants of Shomyo No Kai. This on-site performance promises to engages all the senses.
