Aspire Performing Arts Company is one of the first youth community theatre companies to present the smash Broadway hit musical, The Prom, running May 11 through May 13 at Butler High School.

Aspire Performing Arts Company (Aspire PAC) will present a pilot production of The Drowsy Chaperone JR., based on the Tony Award-winning musical The Drowsy Chaperone. The pilot production will run from December 10 through 12 at the Packanack Community Church in Wayne, NJ.

Productivity Media Inc and Oakhurst Entertainment announced today that Aubrey Plaza, Christopher Abbott and Sarah Gadon are set to join the cast of the upcoming thriller BLACK BEAR, directed by Lawrence Michael Levine.  Penned by Levine, the film will be produced by Tandem Pictures' Julie Christeas and Jonathan Blitstein, Richard J Bosner (Blue Creek Pictures), Sophia Takal and Oakhurst's Marina Grasic and Jai Khanna. Productivity will finance the film.  Shooting is underway in the Adirondack Mountains in Long Lake, NY.

Outside The Box proudly announces today the official schedule for its free nine day summer performing arts festival on Boston Common and City Hall Plaza (July 13-21). The inaugural festival will kick off at noon on Saturday July 13th on Boston Common with a special performance by the Boston Children's Chorus followed by Los Lonely Boys and Los Lobos. Festival headliners Buffalo Tom, The Lemonheads and The Mighty Mighty Bosstones will perform live on Boston Common on Saturday July 20th beginning at 5pm.

Walk Off The Earth has premiered a video for their new original song 'Gang Of Rhythm' on Mashable.com today. A 3D version of the video also launched today exclusively on the Nintendo Video service for the portable Nintendo 3DS system. The video is a throwback to chain gang cinema, and finds the band as a group of escaped convicts trying to find their way to freedom before a certain bearded lawman can bring them to justice.
