Pennsylvania Ballet Artistic Director Angel Corella announced the programming for the 2018-2019 Season. The Company's 55th Season will feature 13 ballets with five world premieres and three company premieres including two classic love stories; Romeo and Juliet and Giselle. Paul Blake, Sony/ATV Music Publishing and Mike Bosner in association with Michael Harrison announce that Bronte Barbe will play 'Carole King' in the UK and Ireland tour of the Olivier, Tony and Grammy award-winning BEAUTIFUL - THE CAROLE KING MUSICAL. Bronte will be joined by Kane Oliver Parry as King's husband and song-writing partner 'Gerry Goffin', Amy Ellen Richardson as song-writer 'Cynthia Weil', Matthew Gonsalves as song-writer 'Barry Mann', Carol Royle as King's mother 'Genie Klein' and Adam Howden as music publisher and producer 'Donnie Kirshner'. On Tuesday, February 6, 2018, Dorset Theatre Festival began its 6th annual Jean E. Miller Young Playwrights Competition and Workshops. This program provides an opportunity for students to learn about playwriting and create a short 10-60 page play of their own. Workshop participants typically include more than 15 schools, 300 students, and 60 play submissions.

Michael Kahn today announces Shakespeare Theatre Company's 2018-2019 Season. With two world premieres from celebrated playwrights, a multiple Tony Award-winning presentation, a dynamic adaptation of a classic novel, two Shakespeare plays and a group of acclaimed directors and artists, it is an ambitious grand finale for STC Artistic Director Michael Kahn, who will retire from the company at the end of the Season.

Shakespeare Festival St. Louis will be adding a fourth pillar - In the Works - to its In the Schools, In the Streets, In the Park programming, enhancing its appeal as a year-round festival, it was announced today. In the Works, a month-long ticketed event, scheduled for late fall at the Grandel Theatre, will culminate the 2018 season that includes the Education Tour (Feb. 5-April 15), SHAKE 38 (April 18-22), the main stage production of "Romeo & Juliet" (June 1-24) and Shakespeare in the Streets' production of "Blow, Winds," (June 15-16).

The Atlantic City Ballet heads to the West Coast with their production of Sleeping Beauty to begin their spring season. The company's first west coast tour will include performances in Prescott, Arizona, Palos Verde and Napa Valley, California.

Hoxton Hall today announces the full cast for Female Parts Shorts: A Woman Alone, The Immigrant and A Mother - a collection of short plays directed by Karena Johnson, Artistic Director of Hoxton Hall. Johnson directs Gehane Strehler in A Woman Alone, Clare Perkins in The Immigrant and Rebecca Saire in A Mother. The three monologues will be performed in sequence, opening on Thursday 15 March, with previews from Tuesday 13 March, running until Saturday 31 March.

Featuring two new productions by the company's in-house Production Studios, Utah Opera's 41st season runs from October 2018 to May 2019 and comprises three main-stage productions at Janet Quinney Lawson Capitol Theatre and a semi-staged production at Abravanel Hall.

The city-wide Seattle Celebrates Shakespeare festival is underway with performances of Peerless-a clever and incisive adaptation of Macbeth-with performances running through February 11. The festival will be ongoing from January through July with the bulk of festival events taking place in April and May of 2018 and features participation from more than 25 of Seattle's world-class arts and culture organizations.

The Music Center welcomes the return of The Joffrey Ballet to Los Angeles for a contemporary rendition of Shakespeare's timeless classic with the West Coast premiere of Romeo & Juliet.

Watford Palace Theatre today announce full casting for their revival of Arthur Miller's play Broken Glass, which opens 80 years after the events of Kristallnacht, leading up to the Second World War. Richard Beecham directs Charlotte Emerson (Sylvia Gellburg), Clara Francis (Harriet), Andrew Hall(Stanton Case) Michael Higgs (Dr Harry Hyman), Rebecca Lacey (Margaret Hyman) and Michael Matus (Philip Gellburg). Broken Glass opens at Watford Palace Theatre on 6 March, with previews from 1 March and runs until 24 March.

(Sarah Benson, Artistic Director; Cynthia Flowers, Executive Director) extends the world premiere of Aleshea Harris's Relentless Award-winning Is God Is, directed by Taibi Magar by two weeks, through March 25. In this play, which dauntlessly cracks jokes as it eviscerates, twin sisters Anaia (Alfie Fuller) and Racine (Dame-Jasmine Hughes) undertake a murderous journey from the Dirty South to the California desert, seeking payback for a horrendous act. Is God Is treats both morality and genre as notions to be exploded, drawing on the ancient, the modern, the tragic, the Spaghetti Western, hip-hop and Afropunk in its subversion of theatrical constructs.
