Dallas Theater Center launches its 2013-14 season with A Raisin in the Sun. Tre Garrett of Fort Worth's Jubilee Theatre will make his directorial debut at DTC with this Tony Award-winning play. A Raisin in the Sun begins with a Pay-What-You-Can performance tonight, September 13 and runs through Sunday, October 27 at the Dee and Charles Wyly Theatre in the AT&T Performing Arts Center.

Legendary rocker Peter Wolf and his band the Midnight Ramblers take the stage at Indian Ranch this Sunday, September 15th. Dallas Theater Center has announced the regional premiere of Clybourne Park, running in rotating rep with A Raisin in the Sun, to launch the theater's 55th season. Clybourne Park will be directed by DTC Associate Artistic Director Joel Ferrell. Clybourne Park begins with a Pay-What-You-Can performance on Friday, October 4 and runs through Sunday, October 27 at the Dee and Charles Wyly Theatre in the AT&T Performing Arts Center.

LES MISERABLES, the world's longest-running musical, seen by over 60 million people in 42 countries and 21 languages around the globe is coming to Placerville's Imagination Theater. In what is likely to be an unprecedented worldwide celebration of musical theater in 2013 due to the release of LES MISERABLES for community theater productions, Imagination Theater, now in its thirteenth year of productions, has been approved by the show's owners, Music Theater International in New York City, to perform the show in November and December, 2013. Tickets are now available for the show online and through the theater box office.

Spend the weekend at America's oldest continuing summer chamber music festival, Music Mountain, with the acclaimed Amernet String Quartet on Saturday, August 3rd (6:30PM) and Sunday, August 4th (3PM). Saturday evening's program will feature guest artists Alexander Platt and Peter Askimas they perform Prokofiev's Peter and the Wolf and two works by Dvorak. Sunday afternoon's program will feature Ronald Leonard,cello, and will highlight Bocherrini, Arensky, and Tchaikovsky. Celebrating their 84th season, Music Mountain's beautifully air conditioned Gordon Hall is the place to be to hear the best in chamber music. Audiences also visit Falls Village to hear Jazz, Country, and Big Bang fill the walls of Gordon Hall. Concerts continue every weekend through September 8th.

The New York Philharmonic will present A Dancer's Dream: Two Works by Stravinsky, a multidisciplinary, theatrical reimagining of the ballets The Fairy's Kiss and Petrushka, created by Giants Are Small. Sara Mearns, New York City Ballet principal dancer, will star in the production, which will be conducted by Music Director Alan Gilbert, directed and designed by Doug Fitch, choreographed by Karole Armitage, and produced by Edouard Getaz - tonight, June 27, 2013, at 7:30 p.m.; Friday, June 28 at 8:00 p.m.; and Saturday, June 29 at 8:00 p.m.

The New York Philharmonic's season-finale program, A Dancer's Dream: Two Works by Stravinsky — conducted by Music Director Alan Gilbert and starring New York City Ballet principal dancer Sara Mearns in a production created by Giants Are Small — will be distributed to cinemas worldwide by SpectiCast beginning September 2013. This unique cinema event, produced by the New York Philharmonic, will feature a complete concert broadcast, behind-the- scenes footage, as well as a brief intermission feature on Stravinsky's history with the New York Philharmonic, featuring video and other exclusive material from the New York Philharmonic Digital Archives.

Shizuo Z. Kuwahara conducts Prokofiev's Peter and the Wolf with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra on Saturday, April 6 at 11 a.m. at the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall. This fairytale favorite will be illuminated through performances by beloved narrator Rheda Becker and Bob Brown Puppets. Children age five and up are welcome to attend. Dallas Theater Center welcomes North Texans into the studio of artist Mark Rothko in the Texas premiere of Tony Award-winning Red, directed by DTC associate artistic director Joel Ferrell. This production turns the 9th floor of the Dee and Charles Wyly Theatre into Rothko's studio and gives audience members an intimate look at the brilliant and volatile artist as he undertakes a new commission. This show also marks the first production-specific collaboration between DTC and the Dallas Museum of Art, which will provide patrons and visitors the opportunity to learn about the world of Rothko by seeing the play at DTC, viewing original works of art by Rothko and his contemporaries at the DMA and engaging in special events about the work with both organizations. Red opens with preview performances tonight, February 7 and runs through Sunday, March 24 and is the first show ever to be performed on the 9th floor of the Wyly Theatre.
