The Human Race Theatre Company, Dayton's only professional regional theatre company, launches its 28th season next September with a richly diverse 6-play combination of productions on its Eichelberger Loft Series. 'Selecting the season is one of the hardest, yet most exciting parts of my job,' says Producing Artistic Director Kevin Moore. 'Thanks to a wonderful committee of readers, I am able to hand select just the right shows for our audience. It's a season for everyone, with something old and something new; something funny, and something blue.'

Robert Creighton, David Garrison, Harriet Harris, Judy Kaye, Lewis J. Stadlen, Lee Wilkof, Tony Yazbeck and Rachel York will join Christian Borle in Cy Coleman and Carolyn Leigh¹s Little Me, the opening production of New York City Center¹s 2014 Encores! season, running for seven performances, February 5 - 9. The show will be directed by John Rando with music direction by Rob Berman and choreography by Joshua Bergasse.

In a recent feature with US Weekly, music legend Cher revealed that she has her sights set on a part with theatrical origins. 'I have watched the 1958 film 'Auntie Mame', with Rosalind Russell, at least 100 times. I would love to play that part in a remake.' The film was based on the Patrick Dennis novel and 1956 play of the same title, which was later turned into the 1966 musical- MAME. Here's to hoping that the diva will play the role on Broadway!

Tony Yazbeck will join the previously announced Christian Borle in Cy Coleman and Carolyn Leigh's Little Me, the opening production of New York City Center Encores! series, running for seven performances, February 5 - 9, 2014. Joshua Bergasse will choreograph the production, along with the previously announced Director John Rando and Music Director Rob Berman.

Bucks County Playhouse kicks off its 2013 season with an inspired and exceptionally executed production of MAME. This production of MAME was originally produced at the Media Theatre in Media, Pennsylvania. Jesse Cline directs the show, and MAME stars Andrea McArdle as Mame and Lea DeLaria as Vera Charles. Bucks County Playhouse's MAME will delight audiences with its exceptional choreography, powerful singing, and its heartwarming plot. If you have not gotten tickets to MAME at Bucks County Playhouse, I advise you to do so now before it is too late.

LITTLE ME (based on the Novel by Patrick Dennis) is the story of Belle Poitrine's ascent from the wrong side of the railroad tracks in Venezuela, Illinois to the exquisite luxury of Southampton, Long Island. The action is carried through a series of hilarious vignettes with integrated music and choreography.

MAME, winner of five Tony Awards, opened November 8, 2012, and plays through January 13, 2013, at the Candlelight Dinner Playhouse. Based on Patrick Dennis' 1955 novel, "Auntie Mame: An Irreverent Escapade," MAME features an award-winning score by Jerry Herman with such favorites as "Bosom Buddies," "We Need a Little Christmas" and, of course, "Mame."

Today, we're featuring Cy Coleman with Bob Fosse and Juliet Prowse in 1981. Fosse won an unprecedented eight Tony Awards for choreography, as well as one for direction. He was nominated for an Academy Award four times, winning for his direction of Cabaret. Amongst his many Broadway credits are The Pajama Game, Damn Yankees, Sweet Charity, Pippin, Chicago, Dancin' and many more. Coleman's career as a Broadway composer began when he and Leigh collaborated on Wildcat (1960), which marked the Broadway debut of comedienne Lucille Ball. U's school songs, 'Hey, Fightin' Tigers.' When Ball became ill, she left the show, and it closed. Next for the two was Little Me, with a book by Neil Simon based on the novel of the same name by Patrick Dennis. Prowse starred in such films as including The Fiercest Heart (1961) and Who Killed Teddy Bear? (1965) with Sal Mineo and Elaine Stritch.
