New York Live Arts announces the 2014 Theater Access Program - a comprehensive rental program that provides performance space and resources to a diverse group of self-producing artists of all disciplines. This year's artists include (in order of appearance) Ellen Robbins; ZviDance; Elisa Monte Dance, Bulglisi Dance Theatre and Jennifer Muller/The Works; and 10 Hairy Legs.
Harpist Yolanda Kondonassis to Release New Album

Internationally acclaimed harpist Yolanda Kondonassis has always been fascinated by the creations of French composer Maurice Ravel. Her new release, Ravel: Intimate Masterpieces, on the Oberlin Music label, is a celebration of Kondonassis' longtime love of Ravel's music.

The Cooperstown Summer Music Festival will offer free Pro Am performances today, July 9 in Edmeston, July 10 in Cherry Valley, and July 11 in Cooperstown. The Pro Am, now in its sixth year, can trace its roots to an unplanned meeting at a local ice cream shop, when Festival artistic director and founder Linda Chesis and Bruce and Mona Harris discussed the possibility of having non-career musicians participate in the Festival. Bruce Harris, a neurosurgeon at Bassett Healthcare in Cooperstown, is also an accomplished pianist.

The Martha Graham Dance Company Announces Joyce Theater Season, 2/20-3/3

The Martha Graham Dance Company (Janet Eilber, Artistic Director; LaRue Allen, Executive Director) will present 15 performances at The Joyce Theater, February 20-March 3, 2013. The season continues the company's innovative thematic presentations with Myth and Transformation-three compelling programs that explore how artists reinvent iconic stories to make bold contemporary statements. The two-week season features Graham masterworks including Phaedra, Cave of the Heart, Night Journey, Errand into the Maze, and Diversion of Angels alongside new commissions and premieres from Richard Move, Luca Veggetti, and Doug Varone. A reconstruction of a Graham solo, Imperial Gesture (1935), will also be presented. Performances will take place Wednesday, February 20 to Sunday, February 24; and Tuesday, February 26 to Sunday, March 3.

After the Metropolitan Opera and New York City Opera, Dicapo Opera Theatre is the only opera company in New York to present an entire season of opera productions, musical theatre, concerts, family fare, and other events, and it does so in a gem of a facility tucked away on the Upper East Side at 184 East 76th Street. The Dicapo Opera Theatre is headed by General Director, Michael Capasso and Artistic Director, Diane Martindale.
