The Los Angeles Philharmonic announces its 98th summer season at the Hollywood Bowl. The Hollywood Bowl summer season features world-class artists ranging from classical and pops to jazz, rock, and world music including the world premiere of two new LA Phil-commissioned works plus a fully-staged Broadway musical.
Shaggy to Host the GRAMMY Awards Premiere Ceremony; Will be Streamed Live

The GRAMMY Awards Premiere Ceremony® will take place at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, Feb. 10, from 12:30–3:30 p.m. PT, and will be streamed live internationally via GRAMMY.com. Preceding the 61st Annual GRAMMY Awards® telecast, the Premiere Ceremony will be hosted by GRAMMY® winner and current nominee Shaggy and will feature a number of performances by current GRAMMY nominees. Currently slated to perform are singer/songwriter Snatam Kaur, trumpeter Craig Morris, and dance/electronic duo Sofi Tukker. Nigerian Afrobeat artist Seun Kuti and Malian singer/songwriter Fatoumata Diawara will take the stage together to perform. Additionally, for the first time ever, Ángela Aguilar, Aida Cuevas, and Natalia Lafourcade will unite to perform the Mexican folkloric classic 'La Llorona,' which all three have recorded during their careers.

Fort Worth Opera (FWO) proudly announced today the news that legendary Mexican ensemble Mariachi Nuevo Tecalitlan will be prominently featured in the company's 2019 production of El Pasado Nunca se Termina (The Past is Never Finished). Called "The Best Mariachi in Jalisco," this phenomenal group from Guadalajara, Mexico, was founded in 1965 by Jose 'Pepe' Martinez, the late director of Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlan, and his brother Fernando Martinez.

Never underestimate the power of music, sings Ernesto de la Cruz on the soundtrack to the new Disney/Pixar film Coco. And that, at its heart, is the overarching theme of this thoroughly delightful, sometimes surprising story and its accompanying soundtrack. Music here isn't just an accent to the story it is the story.
