National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene (NYTF) today dishes up some exciting new Chanukah programming as part of their groundbreaking 107th season. ESN, a celebration of Jewish food through song and cooking demonstrations, comes to the NYTF virtual stage on November 28, 2021.

This July, National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene will bring together more than 140 actors, singers and musicians from across globe for a sensational, one-time event - A Yiddish Renaissance: A Virtual Concert Celebration - filled with music and appearances by some of the most renowned Yiddish performers.

On Sunday, March 21, 2:00 PM (EST), the Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan (with lead sponsorship from the National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene) will spearhead a global presentation of the second annual virtual Third Seder to celebrate the inspiring Passover story as well as the worldwide revival of Yiddish culture.

Artists and performers from around the world join National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene (NYTF) to celebrate Purim virtually from February 22-25, 2021. The Purim Celebration features a stellar, star-studded line-up of Yiddish music, Cabaret, and a special reading of the Megiles Ester (The Book of Ester) in Yiddish.

The Museum of Jewish Heritage - A Living Memorial to the Holocaust will host a live concert-featuring Frank London's Klezmer Brass Allstars and actor and Yiddish-singer Eleanor Reissa and percussionist Deep Singh-from Edmond J. Safra Hall on Sunday, October 25 at 7 p.m.

This October, National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene (Folksbiene)-led by Zalmen Mlotek, Artistic Director, and Dominick Balletta, Executive Director-presents Folksbiene! LIVE: 'Welcome to Our Suke/Sukkah', a four-day festival of family-friendly performances during Chol Hamoed (the intermediary days of Sukkos) from October 5th to 8th.

Over the last three decades, the celebrated East Village-based Canadian poet/performer Adeena Karasick and Grammy Award-winning composer/trumpeter Frank London have each transformed the worlds of poetry and music with work that is sensual and political, steeped in Jewish mysticism, exploding notions of high and low culture.

The Congress for Jewish Culture and the California Institute for Yiddish Culture and Language present Sholem Aleichem: A Yiddish Remembrance.

On Sunday, April 12, at 2PM, a consortium of Jewish cultural organizations will present a 'Third Seder', an unprecedented online international Yiddish cultural celebration featuring leading contemporary performers of the Yiddish and Klezmer stage.

The November through January 1 programming schedule at the Museum of Jewish Heritage - A Living Memorial to the Holocaust has been announced. Highlights are:

National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene [NYTF] will begin its residency this Fall at Museum of Jewish Heritage where 101 year-old NYTF will present a lavish new production of the romantic comedy Di Goldene Kale (The Golden Bride), an American operetta set to play December 2 - 27, 2015. New Yiddish Rep is announcing the postponement of its vaudeville project 'Seltzer Nights' due to scheduling conflicts with the creative team. A darkly theatrical cabaret that recreates the bawdy, boisterous atmosphere of a Lower East Side Yiddish music hall a century ago, 'Seltzer Nights' began on Saturday March 21 and was scheduled to incubate at the Castillo Theatre, 543 West 42nd Street, through June 13. Its three remaining performances - on April 18, May 9 and June 13 -- have been cancelled.
