New York City Ballet (NYCB) returns to the Kennedy Center for its annual engagement with two stellar repertory programs, April 2-7, in the Opera House. Along with classic works by George Balanchine and Jerome Robbins, the engagement includes Kyle Abraham's recent acclaimed work The Runaway and the D.C. premieres of new works from NYCB Resident Choreographer and Soloist Justin Peck and celebrated Broadway choreographer Warren Carlyle. Performances will be accompanied by the Kennedy Center Opera House Orchestra.

New York Theatre Ballet (Diana Byer, Founder and Artistic Director) announces its return to Danspace Project for their fifth season with their REP program (March 14-16), this year featuring Sir Richard Alston's The Seasons, Matthew Nash's The Elements of Style, and Merce Cunningham's Scramble (1967). As the "small but mighty" (The New York Times) company gears up to celebrate its 40th Anniversary, they are also pleased to announce that Sir Richard Alston-a choreographer who has spent "half century in the rigorous pursuit of purity in movement" (The Guardian), and who was knighted in this New Year's Honours-has accepted the post of Resident Choreographer for the next two seasons.

New York City Ballet (NYCB) returns to the Kennedy Center with two vibrant repertory programs for its annual appearance, March 27–April 1. Along with classic George Balanchine works, the engagement includes an all-Robbins program to celebrate the centennial of Jerome Robbins, one of the most influential dance-makers in NYCB's history as well as a nod to the worldwide Leonard Bernstein at 100 celebration of the legendary composer. All performances will be accompanied by the Kennedy Center Opera House Orchestra.
'Nick Mauss: Transmissions' To Open At The Whitney

For his first solo museum show in the United States, artist Nick Mauss (b. 1980) will present Transmissions, an exhibition conceived for the Whitney, which explores the reciprocal relationship of modernist ballet and the avant-garde in New York from the 1930s through '50s. The exhibition-which features daily dance performances in the Whitney's eighth-floor Hurst Family Galleries-goes on view March 16.

Due to Hurricane Harvey, Houston Ballet is unable to perform the opening two productions at the company's home venue. However, Houston Ballet is pleased to report that select performances of fall programming have been rescheduled at THE HOBBY CENTER - SAROFIM HALL.
