Geva Theatre Center's 2011-2012 Season officially opens tomorrow evening with On Golden Pond by Ernest Thompson and runs in the Mainstage through October 2.

Geva Theatre Center's 2011-2012 Season gets off to a heartwarming start with On Golden Pond by Ernest Thompson, which begins performances on September 6 and runs in the Elaine P. Wilson Mainstage through October 2.

THE WORKSHOP THEATER and ALVIN OUT PRODUCTIONS present the final performance of Lizzie Borden at Eight O'Clock at the WorkShop Jewel Box Theater on April 10.

THE WORKSHOP THEATER celebrates Women's History Month with their "SHE'S THE BOSS SERIES. The series opens with three readings of Donna De Mateo's The Silver Fox, (March 3rd, 4th, and 5th at 8pm), then with three readings of Prudence Wright Holmes & Joanne Joseph's Beat Chick, and concludes with a full production of Mitch Giannunzio's Lizzie Borden At Eight O'Clock (March 24th-April 4th-with Alvin Out Productions).

Geva Theatre Center's will close out its production of The Price by Arthur Miller, on March 21. The production began performances February 8th.

Given the current economic climate, Rochester's Geva Theatre Center's production of Arthur Miller's The Price, a drama incited by two brothers selling their deceased father's possessions, would appear to be perfectly timed. The heavy ties between identity and the struggle to live a purposeful, content life in capitalistic society are explored in depth, and the questions and uncertainty felt by the characters certainly resonate with a modern audience. Timothy Bond's production of the play starts off strongly but ultimately flounders as it reaches its conclusion.
