Artistic Director Joseph Haj just announced his inaugural mainstage season with The Guthrie Theater.

BEDLAM has announced a five-week extension of its critically acclaimed production of Jane Austen's SENSE & SENSIBILITY, adapted for the stage by Kate Hamill. SENSE & SENSIBILITY opens Thursday, February 4, 2016, at 7pm, at THE GYM AT JUDSON (243 Thompson Street) and will now play through Sunday, April 10, 2016.

BEDLAM's sold-out, critically acclaimed production of Jane Austen's SENSE & SENSIBILITY, adapted for the stage by Kate Hamill, returns to New York for seven weeks only.  SENSE & SENSIBILITY will begin previews Sunday, January 24, 2016, and open Thursday, February 4, 2016, at 7pm, at THE GYM AT JUDSON (243 Thompson Street), playing through Sunday, March 6, 2016.

The Pearl Theatre Company begins its 2015-2016 season with Bedlam Theater Artistic Director Eric Tucker's fresh take on William Shakespeare's classic A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM, following a highly successful engagement of the production at the Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival this summer. Bedlam announced that they will open their 2015/2016 season with the world premiere of NEW YORK ANIMALS, a new play by two-time Tony Award winner Steven Sater (Spring Awakening) with music by six-time Grammy Award winner and three-time Academy Award winner Burt Bacharach, and directed by Eric Tucker.

The Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival's popular reading series, HVSF2, curated by Christine Scarfuto, will highlight the work of some of America's most celebrated playwrights. Members of the HVSF acting company will be featured in the readings along with several renowned stage and film actors. Readings will take place at The Depot Theatre in Garrison on August 5, 7, 12, and 20. All Readings begin at 7:30pm. Dallas Theater Center will close its 2014-2015 season with Kate Hamill's fresh and witty adaptation of Sense and Sensibility, Jane Austen's classic romantic novel. Sense and Sensibility is directed by Sarah Rasmussen and begins with previews on Thursday, April 23 with a Pay-What-You-Can performance and runs through Sunday, May 24. Theaterspeak will present WRITE OUT FRONT, an installation of over 125 award-winning and up-and-coming playwrights writing new plays in the storefront window of the Drama Book Shop during store hours, today, August 1st - 31st. In each two-hour time slot for WRITE OUT FRONT, a different playwright will write a new play on a laptop, while the screen shot of their computer is projected onto a 42' monitor facing the passersby on the street, making their normally private creative process public.

Access Theater has presented a 3-week extension of Bedlam's critically acclaimed revival of George Bernard Shaw's rarely produced 1923 masterpiece SAINT JOAN. This Off-off-Broadway presentation marks the first time in 19 years that SAINT JOAN has been staged professionally in New York City. In this bold, environmental staging directed by Eric Tucker, Shaw's play is performed in its entirety using an ensemble of only four actors to play all 24 roles. The show plays its final performance at Access Theater in Tribeca tonight, May 13.
