A timeless story of hope, redemption and the magic of the holiday season, Milwaukee Repertory Theater's adaptation of Charles Dickens' classic novel A Christmas Carol has been a Milwaukee tradition for over 40 years, playing to over 1.5 million people. In line with Milwaukee Rep's mission to ignite positive change in the Milwaukee community and the enduring message of this holiday mainstay, we are pleased to announce the recipients of Milwaukee Rep's A Christmas Carol Families Program and Mpact Ticket Program for 2019.
Terence Blanchard & Teresita Fernández To Be Honored At 2020 National YoungArts Foundation Backyard Ball

National YoungArts Foundation (YoungArts) Board Chair Sarah Arison announced today that jazz trumpeter and composer Terence Blanchard (1980 YoungArts Winner in Classical Music) and conceptual artist Teresita Fernández will be honored with Arison Awards at the organization's annual Backyard Ball, presented by fine jeweler Harry Winston, on Saturday, January 11, 2020 in Miami. The evening will celebrate Blanchard's and Fernández's vital contributions to the arts alongside the achievements of the 2020 YoungArts award winners, the nation's most accomplished young artists in the literary, visual and performing arts.

The National YoungArts Foundation (YoungArts) is proud to announce new creative and professional development opportunities for its network of 20,000 alumni—exceptionally talented artists across the visual, literary and performing arts. The organization's growing roster of programs to support artists throughout their careers includes YoungArts at Ted's, a new performance series that offers the public the chance to experience exceptional programs in an intimate setting, and Up Next Focus, an extension of the successful Up Next professional development program. Additionally, YoungArts announces that Yusha-Marie Sorzano (2000 Young Arts Winner in Dance) has been named the 2019 Dance Artist in Residence at the YoungArts Campus and Lee Pivnik (2014 YoungArts Winner in Visual Arts) is the next Bay Parc Apartments Resident Artist.

Known for its singular approach to materials and craftsmanship, Georg Jensen silver tableware and objects for the home kept pace with the era's shifting culture and lifestyles, balancing design and function in its diverse product lines. With its dual embrace of exceptional and everyday objects, the firm appealed to a wide range of customers and contributed to the meteoric rise of Scandinavian design in the United States and around the world. Presenting over 100 spectacular and rare works in silver, this exhibition celebrates the company's evolving vision for the modern home, which came to include inventive and accessible designs for flatware and serving dishes in stainless steel, wood, and melamine.

The internationally renowned Lar Lubovitch Dance Company celebrates its 50th anniversary this spring with two programs at The Joyce Theater featuring the world premiere of Lar Lubovitch's Something About Night as well as signature works from the Company's vast repertory. The Company will be joined by the Martha Graham Dance Company and principals from The Joffrey Ballet, each performing seminal Lubovitch dances in honor of this milestone year. Performances are at The Joyce Theater April 17–22, 2018 (Tuesday and Wednesday at 7:30pm, Thursday and Friday at 8pm, Saturday at 2pm and 8pm, and Sunday at 2pm).
