Proprietor and Winemaker, Kirk P. Venge, notes that the purchase of the Rue Winery comes at an ideal crossing point in his pursuit of making Sonoma County Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. When I acquired the Venge Vineyards brand from my family in 2008, we often talked about one day crossing county lines to build another winery in Sonoma. Ian Kahn to Lead Reading of Jason Odell Williams' New Play CHURCH & STATE

Lead producer Charlotte Cohn will present a staged reading of Jason Odell Williams' new play, Church & State, for one night only on Monday, April 4th at 7pm at The Cell Theatre (338 W 23rd Street). Proceeds from the reading will benefit Sandy Hook Promise. Ian Kahn ("George Washington" on AMC's Turn, Hard Love, Enron) will lead the cast, which also includes Beth Hylton, Judy Jerome, and Andy Talen. Gregg Wiggans directs (TV's Smash). Final casting has been set for the 2015 Planet Connections Theatre Festivity's Playwrights For A Cause, set to take place at 7:30pm on Sunday, June 14, 2015 at New York Theatre Workshop, 79 East 4th Street, on Sunday, June 14 at 7:30 pm. The evening, which will benefit the non-profit National Coalition Against Censorship, will showcase world premiere one-act plays by three acclaimed playwrights: Israel Horovitz's Breaking Phillip Glass and Erik Ehn's Her Speech, both directed by Planet Connections Theatre Festivity founder and PFAC Producing Artistic Curator Glory Kadigan, and Halley Feiffer's A Play About New Mexico, directed by Gaye Taylor Upchurch.

Playwrights for a Cause has announced that the show will go on as planned at the New York Theatre Workshop, 79 East 4th Street, on Sunday, June 14 at 7:30 pm. However, in light of The Sheen Center's cancellation of Playwrights for a Cause benefiting the National Coalition Against Censorship and the resulting recent media reports, playwright Neil LaBute has decided to pull his one-act play from the event.
