The latest Rodgers & Hammerstein offering from Cape Town's G&S Society was welcomed at Artscape Opera House this past weekend with standing ovations. SOUTH PACIFIC is described as an 'epic musical romance' and this latest revival of the classic breathes technicolor life into a legendary theatrical think piece.

Heartland, now playing at Luna Stage, will extend through May 5. The new play, which opened April 4, has received audience and critical acclaim. Broadway World called it a "heartfelt masterpiece rife with comedic brilliance and the triumph of the human spirit."

Brian Corrigan, Beejan Land, and Lipica Shah will star in Luna Stage's production of Heartland. The intercontinental love story by Gabriel Jason Dean, directed by Ari Laura Kreith will run from April 4-April 28.

This weekend when SOUTH PACIFIC opens at City Springs Theatre Company, audiences will get the rare privilege of seeing the handiwork of Broadway royalty.

Brooke Wetterhahn joins the cast of NAKED CALLand will now be performing as "Jennifer".  Naked Call, a brand-new play by award-winning playwright, Ken Kaissaris premiering as a professionally staged reading, produced by New Feathers Productions as announced earlier this month. 

Immediately following a near sold-out performance from their December 6th show, New Feathers Productions now announces complete casting of "Naked Call", a featured, full-length premiere by award-winning playwright, Ken Kaissar with direction by Amy Kaissar.  Premiering on stage at the James A. Michener Art Museum December 20th, with a fully clothed cast, actors Michael Gamache reunites with Ken Kaissar after performing in the East Coast tour of Kaissar's play A Modest Suggestion as well as Humility at Philly's Painted Bride Arts Center in which he appeared in the nude.

The Board of The Arts & Cultural Council of Bucks County announces their pledge to help save Oscar Hammerstein's home, Highland Farm, in Doylestown, PA, the very place where Hammerstein did most of his writing for internationally celebrated works, including Oklahoma!,  Carousel, South Pacific, The King and I and The Sound of Music.   Each year the A&CC selects an arts-related organization to help support, raise funds and awareness through their arts and marketing resources including the worldwide #GivingTuesday platform.

During rehearsals at producer Mandee K. Hammerstein's home in Bucks County, fellow cast members (Clayton Prince & Joey Perillo) from the 1988 original film 'Hairspray', reunite for the first time in 30-years.  Prince ('Seaweed') and Perillo (Security Guard) exchange fond, movie-making memories, while talking future theatrical goals, all in anticipation of working together again on the New Feathers Production Stage this month.

The three cash prize winners of arguably the biggest online art competition in the world were announced today. Best Of Show, winning the most gallery votes for one image in one category, went to El Salvador's ANTONIO CAÑAS for his magnificent 50x50cm oil, “Portrait Of Don Roberto.' DANGUOLE SERSTINSKAJA of LITHUANIA took the Masterpiece for the one image winning in most categories, for 'Father Valery Rudzinskas Healing Stare,' a 20x28' oil on paper. Naïve artist LENA SKUGINNA of GERMANY received the Most Wins prize for 9 placements among the 50 categories.

NEW FEATHERS PRODUCTIONS producers, Mandee K. Hammerstein, Greg T. Love conquering prejudice is one of the powerful themes of Rodgers and Hammerstein's memorable musical SOUTH PACIFIC, the second production on Theatre in the Park's (TTIP) 2018 summer outdoor season. TTIP's most often requested musical, SOUTH PACIFIC will have seven performances at the outdoor amphitheater Today through Sunday, June 22-24 and the following Wednesday through Saturday June 27-30. Showtime for all productions is 8:30 p.m. with gates opening at 7 p.m.
