The One-Minute Play Festival (Dominic D'Andrea, Producing Artistic Director & Caitlin Wees, Associate Producer), Boston Public Works Theater Company (John Greiner-Ferris, Producer), and Boston Playwrights' Theatre (Kate Snodgrass, Artistic Director) continue their dynamic annual partnership for The 5th Annual Boston One-Minute Play Festival, with part of the proceeds to benefit new play programing and artist funding at Boston Public Works Theater Company and Boston Playwrights' Theatre.

Rover Dramawerks has announced their SWEET 16 Season of plays "off the beaten path." Rover will present eight mainstage plays, two festivals, and a One Day Only as part of the season, plus a bonus Valentine's Day murder mystery (not included in the season).

Boston Playwrights' Theatre presents the 15th annual Boston Theater Marathon and the fifth year of The Warm-Up Laps. The Boston Theater Marathon features 53 ten-minute plays, by 54 New England playwrights, produced by 53 New England theatres in 10 hours.

The Peterborough Players took home seven awards at the 11th annual New Hampshire Theatre Awards ceremony held on January 26th at Pinkerton Academy's Stockbridge Theatre in Derry. Auld Lang Syne, a world premiere production, won five awards as follows: Best Production Drama/Comedy; Best Director Drama/Comedy (Gus Kaikkonen), Best Original Playwright (Jack Neary); Best Actor in a Drama/Comedy (Gordon Clapp), and Best Actress in a Drama/Comedy (Kathy Manfre from Peterborough). The 39 Steps took home two awards for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama/Comedy (Kraig Swartz) and Best Sound Designer (Benjamin Marcum).

The NH Theater Awards celebrated another successful season of Youth, Community and Professional theater across the state with their yearly awards ceremony.

The nominations are out for the 11th Annual New Hampshire Theatre Awards. Like Broadway has the Tony Awards, NH has the NHTA's. Those awards will be handed out on Saturday January 26th at the Stockbridge Theatre on the campus of Pinkerton Academy in Derry, New Hampshire. The award ceremony begins at 7pm.
