After celebrating a decade of beauty and innovation, Artistic Director and Resident Choreographer Julianna Rubio Slager today announceD the 2022-2023 season of Ballet 5:8, ambitiously launching the female and minority-led premiere ballet company into the next chapter.

The Grand Opera House has unveiled its highly anticipated 2022-2023 Broadway in Wilmington season at The Playhouse on Rodney Square. Three Broadway shows will make their Playhouse debut this season, along with the return of three favorites, plus a holiday spectacle for the entire family.

National Tap Dance Day will be feted by the American Tap Dance Foundation, Monday, May 23 through Thursday, May 26, with a four-day celebration of an American art form and national treasure. In-person tap dance workshops, jam sessions, historical films and free sample tap dance classes for children, teens & adults will be among the offerings.

NAATCO today announced the inaugural production of the NAATCO National Partnership Project: Queen, written by playwright and screenwriter Madhuri Shekar (House of Joy) and directed by Aneesha Kudtarkar.

COME FROM AWAY, presented by Dallas Summer Musicals, welcomes you to Gander, Newfoundland where you will learn about the hopes of human connection amidst a horrific tragedy. DSM partnered with George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum to present artifacts relating to the events of September 11, 2001. Visit Music Hall at Fair Park March 8-20.

Dallas Summer Musicals, in partnership with the George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum, will display a selection of 9/11 documents and artifacts from the museum’s collection, in the Music Hall lobby during the entire Dallas engagement of COME FROM AWAY, March 8–20. Included in the display are a number of items that relate to the events depicted in COME FROM AWAY and the special relationship between the United States and Canada.

The seventh season of the Emmy-nominated series The Circus: Inside the Greatest Political Show has been set. Hosted by John Heilemann, Mark McKinnon, Alex Wagner, and Jennifer Palmieri, the 16-episode season will air in two parts of eight episodes, with the program returning in the fall for the second installment. The fully renovated State Theatre New Jersey presents An Evening with Itzhak Perlman on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at 8pm. For this program, violinist Itzhak Perlman—joined by pianist Rohan De Silva—shares the story of his life and career through anecdotes, musical pieces, and personal photos from his archives.  

Oscar, Tony, Grammy and two-time Emmy winner Rita Moreno’s career began with her Broadway debut at age 13. Most recently, Moreno co-stars and is an Executive Producer of the Steven Spielberg remake of the classic, West Side Story, which released worldwide this past December. Moreno won an Oscar for her performance as Anita in the original film.
