El maestro Ludwig Carrasco hará su debut como director artístico de la Orquesta de Cámara de Bellas Artes (OCBA) con un concierto en el que participará la fagotista mexicana Rocío Yllescas como solista invitada. Las sesiones se llevarán a cabo el jueves 17 de octubre a las 20:00 horas en la Sala Manuel M. Ponce del Palacio de Bellas Artes y el domingo 20 al mediodía en el Conservatorio Nacional de Música.

A schedule rich in variety and landmark recording projects is central to Jean-Efflam Bavouzet's 2019-20 season. The French pianist's chosen repertoire spans everything from the concertos of Bartók, Beethoven and Ravel to sonatas by Haydn and rarities by Debussy. Highlights include an extensive UK tour of Ravel's Piano Concerto for the Left Hand with the Iceland Symphony Orchestra (8-15 February 2020); a complete cycle of Beethoven's piano concertos with the Orchestre National de Lyon (19 & 21 March, 11 & 13 June); Ravel's Piano Concerto in G major with the London Philharmonic Orchestra (14 February) and the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra (8 June); and Debussy's Fantaisie with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra (28 & 29 February).

Carnegie Hall today announced that pianist Murray Perahia must regretfully withdraw from his upcoming recital scheduled for Friday, May 10 at 8:00 p.m.in Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage due to medical reasons. Pianist Nobuyuki Tsujii has agreed to step in for Mr. Perahia, performing works by Satie, Debussy, Ravel, and Chopin.

The illustrious Triple Door transforms into 1890s Prague in Bohemia, a story about love, classical music, art nouveau, green fairies and absinthe. Presented by Opal Peachey and Mark Siano, this new musical combines live orchestral music from composers Antonin Dvorak and Frederic Chopin, with original musical works; a set inspired by the art of Alphonse Mucha; and historic artists Sarah Bernhardt and George Sand interweave with beautiful green fairies, aerial numbers, dance, burlesque, classical piano battles, comedy, and new and original songs.
