Sadly, the 2020 Olivier Awards won't be going ahead as planned due to the coronavirus shutdown, although ITV will broadcast a highlights show. So, BroadwayWorld reviewers have been thinking back to some of our favourite Oliviers winners, nominees and performances from past years - plus some of the incredible nominees from this year who we would have loved to see honoured.

The 2020 Oliver Award nominations have been announced!

Award winning jazz soprano saxophonist Jane Ira Bloom returns to St. Paul's German Lutheran Church to present the second of a series of special all-acoustic concerts in the resonant space renown for its extraordinary acoustics. Bloom will be joined by long-time bandmates pianist Dominic Fallacaro and bassist Mark Helias. They will perform original compositions and American songbook ballads specially selected for performance in the unique acoustic environment of the church.

Playhouse on Park's education department, Playhouse Theatre Academy, is thrilled to welcome Juwan Crawley for The Characters In Me as a part of its Adult Master Class Series on Monday, July 29 from 6:30-8:30pm at The 224 Ecospace! All performers (ages 16 and up!) who have a vested interest in the performing arts are encouraged to attend this amazing class.    

Kathryn Allison releases her debut album Something Real. It is produced and arranged by Grammy Winner Dominic Fallacaro. Mr. Iglehart appears with Ms. Allison on the classic Motown tune 'Ain't Nothing Like the Real Thing.' Ms. Allison recently released her second single and video 'The Song of Purple Summer' from Spring Awakening, rearranged as a femme anthem.

Grammy Award-winning artist Tim Kubart's album of 12 original songs, Building Blocks, has received a 2018 GRAMMY Award nomination for Best Children's Album. Building Blocks is one of five albums, out of hundreds released this year, to receive the honor. The 61st GRAMMY Awards celebrations will be hosted by the Recording Academy in Los Angeles on Sunday, February 10, 2019.

Broadway's Kathryn Allison (Aladdin, NYMF'S Next Broadway Sensation Winner) will perform #OnRepeat on November 26 at 7 PM at Rockwood Music Hall Stage 2.
