BroadwayWorld is saddened to learn of the passing of David Romano, voice teacher and Broadway actor. Romano starred as as Ubaldo Piangi in the Broadway cast of Phantom of the Opera, and was a voice teacher to Josh Groban. 

Comedy legends Ray Romano and David Spade recently added December 21 - 22 to their 2018 Aces of Comedy calendar. Tickets to see them perform live at the Terry Fator Theater inside The Mirage Hotel & Casino are on sale now. Both shows are scheduled to begin at 8 p.m.

As part of David Letterman's send-off from THE LATE SHOW, Ray Romano will be hosting a special tribute show airing on CBS on May 4th.

Last night, Ray Romano hosted the International Myeloma Foundation 7th Annual Comedy Celebration at The Wilshire Ebell Theatre & Club in Los Angeles benefiting the Peter Boyle Research Fund and supported the Black Swan Research Initiative (BSRI), a groundbreaking project to develop the first definitive cure for myeloma.

This year's performers are Deon Cole, Jeff Garlin, Jackie Hoffman, Dom Irrera, Bruce Vilanch, with aspecial musical performance by the legendary David Crosby. This year's Honorary Chairs are Julie Chen and Leslie Moonves, along with Chair Loraine Boyle and Vice Chair Amy Weiss. Additional guests to be announced.

Diehard fans of TV's The Golden Girls will love this cute spoof called The Golden Gays. Yes, its humor could be more rollicking and spicy - this is a Nite Club after all - and it should be a tad shorter, but I had a great time and loved the cast, especially John W. McLaughlin as Dorothy/Damian and John Downey III as Blanche/Blaine.
