New Georges and The Movement Theatre Company will present The Harriet Holland Social Club Presents The 84th Annual Star-Burst Cotillion in the Grand Ballroom of The Renaissance Hotel written and directed by Colette Robert.

Chester Theatre Company (CTC), now in its 33rd summer of theatre in Western Massachusetts, opens the season on Thursday with Pride@Prejudice. This lively adaptation features thirty characters played by five diverse and versatile actors in the company’s joyful return to its home in the Town Hall Theatre.

After two seasons away, Chester Theatre Company (CTC), under the leadership of Producing Artistic Director Daniel Elihu Kramer, will return to the Town Hall Theatre, its beloved home in Chester, MA.

Facing expensive caregiving options and inadequate policies at work, Rachelle joins forces with co-workers, Ivy and Miriam, in hopes of building a workers-cooperative to become a main beneficiary of her own work and have more flexibility to be a caregiver to a newborn and her father, Everett.

The 2019 MFA Playwriting students at Brooklyn College - Tanya Everett, Eri Nox, Arika Larson and Cherry Lou Sy - will be presenting readings of their full-length plays. All shows will be at The Tank on Wednesdays and Fridays at 3 pm.

Target Margin Theater (Founding Artistic Director David Herskovits, Associate Artistic Director Moe Yousuf) will present the world premiere or Lisa Clair's The Making of King Kong, a subversive dark comedy that reimagines the making of the classic 1933 film King Kong. Directed by Eugene Ma (The Baltimore Waltz, Oregon Shakespeare Festival; Moliere's The Imaginary Invalid, CSV Cultural Center), The Making of King Kong is a theatrical journey into the cultural monster behind the myth. The play takes a brutal look at America's history of white patriarchy, imperialism, and sexism through the eyes of original King Kong creators Merian C. Cooper and Ernest B. Schoedsack, and Hollywood starlet Fay Wray.

Project: Theater will present a private reading of MAY DAY, by Ryan Krause, adapted from the F. Scott Fitzgerald novella of the same title. With Iliana Stein as director, MAY DAY will offer one presentation on Monday, November 20.

Adapted by Matt Opatrny and directed/choreographed by Jessica Burr, the eleven-member troupe Blessed Unrest recently opened A Christmas Carol at the New Ohio Theatre. This "theatre for the adventurous" comprised of a diverse ensemble that brings new and bold productions to NY audiences, brings a unique and surprising experience to those expecting a traditional retelling of Dickens' novella. So saying, this is a tasteful yet eclectic and unique experience indeed; Opatrny and Burr prove that they understood the true essence of the original story while also showing that they clearly had a wonderful time bringing their creative vision to life.

Back by popular demand after a sold-out 2013 run, Blessed Unrest's A CHRISTMAS CAROL brings a modern twist to the Dickensian classic. The show will be playing a limited engagement from December 21–31 at New Ohio Theatre (154 Christopher Street, between Greenwich and Washington Streets).

The University of Washington School of Drama showcases the work of first year students in their Professional Actor Training Program (PATP) in the final show of their 2013-2014 season. Jean-Claude Grumberg's The Workroom is a stunning portrait of two male and six female laborers surviving in Paris after World War II. This challenging play presents the PATP students with an opportunity to broaden their dramatic acting skills as they relay the emotional story of eight survivors desperately trying to sew together the fragments of their severed post-war lives.

The Arabian Nights is in previews February 26 & 27 and runs February 28 - March 9. Performances are Wednesday-Saturday at 7:30 pm and Sundays at 2 pm.
