Stage Left Theatre announces the upcoming rolling world premiere of The Luckiest People, written by Meredith Friedman and directed by Co-Artistic Director, Jason A. Fleece. The Luckiest People is the final production of Stage Left's 36th season. Press opening is Thursday, January 11, at 8 PM in Studio 1 at the Athenaeum Theatre Chicago, 2936 N. Southport Ave. The show runs through April 29.

While MERRILY WE ROLL ALONG is quite a dark show, it's undeniably one of my favorite Sondheim musicals-and Porchlight's production does well to demonstrate why this is the case.

In light of the recent tragedy in Las Vegas, the Marriott Theatre will be collecting donations this weekend after all five performances of HONEYMOON IN VEGAS. Those donations will help provide financial support to the victims and families of the shooting.

HONEYMOON IN VEGAS opened at The Marriott Theatre in Chicago on August 23 and runs until October 15. The cast features Michael Mahler as Jack Singer, Samantha Pauly as Betsy Nolan, Sean Allan as Tommy Korman, Cole Burden as Buddy Rocky / Roy Bacon, Marya Grandy as Bea Singer, and Steven Strafford as Johnny Sandwich.

The Jeff Awards announced, via a special video presentation, a total of 127 nominations in 26 categories for the 44th Annual Non-Equity Jeff Awards for productions that opened between April 1, 2016, and March 31, 2017.  Hosting the video presentation were Alexis Roston and Lillian Castillo, who will be this year's Mistresses of Ceremonies at the Awards event on June 5 at The Athenaeum.
