Kentucky based country music duo Twang and Round will perform at The Gold Ribbon Gala on September 13th in Bowling Green, Kentucky at LaGala (601 State Street). The event will feature performances by Twang and Round, Shi'Ann Jones (NBC's The Voice), Dustin Collins, and Lydia Murphy with all proceeds benefiting St. Jude Children's Hospital.

The new specials include the fascinating story of a pop idol in George Michael's Lonely Life along with three new Behind Closed Doors specials with host Natalie Morales showing viewers the incredible stories of Phil Hartman, Paul Walker and the wildly popular movie musical Grease which marks its 40th anniversary in June. According to Variety, Jerry Van Dyke, Emmy-nominated actor and younger brother of Dick Van Dyke, died on Friday at age 86. His wife, Shirley Ann Jones told the New York Times that his health had been deteriorating since he was in a traffic accident in 2015.

The Royal Players and Middlebrooks Electric are excited to announce the upcoming production of The Adventures of Tom Sawyer the Broadway Musical, based on the novel The Adventures of Tom Sawyer written by Mark Twain. The Royal Players will present this classic story on April 20th-23rd and April 27th-30th at The Royal Theatre at 111 S. Market St. in Benton.

The Rose Art Museum is pleased to name Jennie C. Jones as the recipient of the 2017 Ruth Ann and Nathan Perlmutter Artist-in-Residence Award. Drawing connections between art and music, the Brooklyn-based artist creates visual and sound abstractions that explore intersections between cultural and social histories. Through her work, Jones highlights the complex and often parallel legacies of the mid-twentieth century—from abstraction, Minimalism, and avant-garde jazz to the era's seminal political and social shifts—revealing the unlikely alliances that emerge between the visual arts and music of the 1950s and '60s. Jones describes her approach as “listening as a conceptual practice.”

Pamela Rose presents BLUES IS A WOMAN, celebrating women in blues from Ma Rainey to Bonnie Raitt and beyond. The concert and CD release party will be held on Thursday, March 30, 2017, 8pm at Freight & Salvage Coffeehouse. 

Due to popular demand, a performance has been added to the regularly scheduled run of Mame. The added performance will take place on Sunday, March 19 at 7:30pm, making week two of the run a 9-performance week. Mame runs from March 7 -26, 2017 at Riverside Theatre.
