Rory Kinnear to Play Tom Bombadil in THE LORD OF THE RINGS: THE RINGS OF POWER

Prime Video has revealed that Laurence Olivier Award-winning actor Rory Kinnear, who, as previously announced, joined the Season Two cast of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, will portray the fan-favorite J.R.R. Tolkien character Tom Bombadil. The second season of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power will premiere exclusively on Prime Video on August 29, 2024.

The debut teaser trailer takes viewers on an action-packed journey back to J.R.R. Tolkien’s Second Age, and shows the ascending evil presence of Sauron as he continues his vengeful quest for complete power. If you’re going to put on a production of a play that has been endlessly adapted, performed, and studied for longer than any of us have been around, it has to be fresh and exciting. Shermona Mitchell Named Sound Theatre Co-Artistic Director
