The Coronavirus emergency left the landscape for the arts gloomy, but  Guerilla Opera's thirteenth season had successes which propelled the company into a new era of female leadership and artistry. Guerilla Opera's composers are equally winning. With seven works in development, many smaller projects, and new digital programming, the company's fans and supporters have a lot to look forward to in future seasons.

Guerilla Opera's fourteenth season is kicking off with a Bash, the Guerilla Backyard Bash, a virtual backyard gala that offers you an exclusive taste of what the Guerillas have got cooking!

Guerilla Opera's thirteenth season of live performances ended as soon as it began, but the company has not been silent. Here are their most recent upcoming events, new initiatives they've launched and ways to interact with the Guerillas that are truly interactive.

Guerilla Opera cancelled the rest of its thirteen season, supporting the health and safety of its artists amidst the COVID-19 outbreak and restrictions, with the following statement from its Artistic Directors Aliana de la Guardia and Julia Noulin-Mérat.

Guerilla Opera, known for all things new, intimate, and experiential, gives you more new works, more composers, fabulous All Stars, and more events in their 13th season with performances in Boston and Washington D.C.!

OPERA America is pleased to announce the three pairs of protégés and mentors selected for the organization's Mentorship Program for Women, now in its third year. The Mentorship Program for Women provides a unique opportunity for promising opera company administrators to be paired with established industry leaders who can help them identify barriers to advancement and develop plans for professional growth. 

Guerilla Opera's 12th Season is proving to be a pivotal one. After appointing Aliana de la Guardia and Julia Noulin-Merat as co-artistic directors, Guerilla Opera's board of directors now appoints Amy Advocat as its Executive Director.

In their twelfth season, Guerilla Opera's board of directors appoints Aliana de la Guardia and Julia Noulin-Merat as co-artistic directors. De la Guardia and Noulin-Merat have been working together to produce the experimental company's world premiere operas and productions since 2009. Together, now they will serve as the faces of the company.

On Sunday, June 24, 2018 at 5:00 P.M. the Dirty Paloma Voice Studio presents the 'Summer Songstravaganza' big benefit concert in support of the National Center for Victims of Crime. The concert will take place in Haverhill High School Auditorium at 137 Monument Street, Haverhill, MA 01830. This concert features students under the instruction of Aliana de la Guardia ranging from talented youth performers, enthusiastic adult avocational singers, and professional singers. The youth piano and voice students under the instruction of Liz Bills will also participate!

Lead by co-founding member, Aliana de la Guardia, Guerilla Opera is launching a new outreach program to support a deeper, richer and interactive experience for patrons with visual disabilities.

Loose, Wet, Perforated, with music and original libretto by Nicholas P. Vines, and stage direction by Austin Regan, plays for four performances: Wednesday through Saturday, September 21-24, 2016, at 8 p.m. in The Zack Box Theater at Boston Conservatory at Berklee at 8 The Fenway, Boston, MA. Guerilla Opera is all fun and games in their 10th anniversary season, featuring a new production of Loose, Wet, Perforated with music and libretto by Nicholas P. Vines in September 2016 and the world premiere of Play, the Game or Game, the Play with music and libretto by composer and theater artist Rick Burkhardt in May 2017.

Guerilla Opera, in conclusion of their ninth season, presents the world premiere of Beowulf with music and libretto by Hannah Lash, stage direction by Andrew Eggert, and scenic design by Julia Noulin-Merat. Lash's Beowulf is a modern-day adaptation of the well know epic poem, in which Beowulf is a doctor caring for his elderly mother and suffering from post-traumatic stresses upon his return from a recent war. He discovers that his mother is being abused by the nursing home staff and removes her, determined to care for her himself. In discussing the opera, composer Hannah Lash said:
