The Coronavirus emergency left the landscape for the arts gloomy, but  Guerilla Opera's thirteenth season had successes which propelled the company into a new era of female leadership and artistry. Guerilla Opera's composers are equally winning. With seven works in development, many smaller projects, and new digital programming, the company's fans and supporters have a lot to look forward to in future seasons.

De la Guardia and Noulin-Merat have been working together to produce the experimental company's world premiere operas and productions since 2009. Together, now they will serve as the faces of the company.

On Sunday, June 24, 2018 at 5:00 P.M. the Dirty Paloma Voice Studio presents the 'Summer Songstravaganza' big benefit concert in support of the National Center for Victims of Crime. The concert will take place in Haverhill High School Auditorium at 137 Monument Street, Haverhill, MA 01830. This concert features students under the instruction of Aliana de la Guardia ranging from talented youth performers, enthusiastic adult avocational singers, and professional singers. The youth piano and voice students under the instruction of Liz Bills will also participate!

Vines in September 2016 and the world premiere of Play, the Game or Game, the Play with music and libretto by composer and theater artist Rick Burkhardt in May 2017.

Guerilla Opera to Close Season with World Premiere of BEOWULF

Guerilla Opera, in conclusion of their ninth season, presents the world premiere of Beowulf with music and libretto by Hannah Lash, stage direction by Andrew Eggert, and scenic design by Julia Noulin-Merat. Lash's Beowulf is a modern-day adaptation of the well know epic poem, in which Beowulf is a doctor caring for his elderly mother and suffering from post-traumatic stresses upon his return from a recent war. He discovers that his mother is being abused by the nursing home staff and removes her, determined to care for her himself. In discussing the opera, composer Hannah Lash said:
