Unique in its celebration of the film and television arts' collaborative nature, AFI AWARDS – now in its 20th year – is the only national program that honors creative teams as a whole.
LITTLE WOMEN Soundtrack is Available Now for Preorder

Sony Music announces the release of LITTLE WOMEN (ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK) with music by Academy Award®, Golden Globe® and GRAMMY® Award-winning composer ALEXANDRE DESPLAT. Available for preorder now, the album will be available in digital, CD and vinyl formats beginning Friday, December 13. Recorded in New York City under the leadership of Desplat, who conducted a chamber orchestra to perform his original compositions, the score serves as a sonic companion to the film's coming-of-age narrative. Making its debut alongside album preorder is the title track from Desplat's score – listen to 'Little Women' below! Directed by Greta Gerwig, Sony Pictures' Little Women will make its highly-anticipated theatrical debut on Wednesday, December 25.

The Harry Potter Film Concert Series returns to the New Jersey Performing Arts Center with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 in Concert, the second to last film in the Harry Potter series. On May 30 at 7:30 pm, the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra will perform Alexandre Desplat's incredible score live from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 while the entire film plays in high-definition on a 40-foot screen.
Terence Blanchard Honored as a BMI Icon

Last night, BMI (Broadcast Music, Inc.) held its35th annual Film, TV & Visual Media Awards to celebrate the top performing composers in film, TV and visual media of the past year. The highest honors of the evening went to film composer and multiple award-winning jazz musician Terence Blanchard, who was named a BMI Icon in recognition of his significant contributions to the cinematic community, and William Ross, who received BMI's Classic Contribution Award for his outstanding work as an arranger, orchestrator, conductor, music director, composer and mentor to emerging talent. The private ceremony was hosted by Vice President Creative – Film, TV & Visual Media, Doreen Ringer-Ross and BMI President and CEO Mike O'Neillat the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills, California.

The series will feature up-and-coming pianists, as well as vocalists who have been through a rigorous mentoring curriculum with some of Los Angeles' most prominent musicians and coaches including Mark Robson, Gloria Cheng, Lisa Sylvester, Vicki Ray, Brent McMunn and Paul Floyd.

The ceremony will also honor award-winning composer, arranger, orchestrator and conductor William Ross with the BMI Classic Contribution Award, and salute the top performing composers in film, TV and visual media of the past year. Both prestigious musical institutions, the American Youth Symphony is an elite professional training orchestra made up of college and graduate students from the most prominent music programs in the country, while NCC is one of the nation's leading treble choruses, with ensembles in Los Angeles, New York City, and Washington, D.C.
